Jay Jenkins, better known under his rap name of Young Jeezy, was arrested after problems in an Atlanta strip club. It seems like he was charged with disorderly conduct together with some of his friends. Police spokesman Michael Payne said:
“Evidently there was some type of altercation in the club, someone didn’t want to leave. It turns out one of the people in the group was Jay Jenkins or Young Jeezy . Evidently he was there with his sister and some friends. There was no physical confrontation. It was all verbal and basically being belligerent.â€
As it seems he will probably be fined but there is no risk of getting a jail sentence. It is becoming very common for rappers to cause problems in night clubs, especially in the USA. Many people probably never heard of Young Jeezy till now (except rap fans of course) but now will surely go out and listen to some tracks. It is strange how jail means a rise in popularity!
Aubrey O’Day, the resident good time girl of P. Diddy’s girl group Danity Kane showed just how she got that title as she partied at the Life Ball in Vienna. The blonde locks and wide smile are reminiscent of Kelly Ripa. The orange tint and horrendous eye make up make her look like a spawn of an Oompa-Loompa.
Basking in the sun too much may be hazardous to our health but so is getting intoxicated with the fumes from a tanning salon. Has there ever been a case of someone going blind due to globs of mascara, eye liner and eye shadow? I think we can expect her to be the first if there isn’t.
Sheryl Crow says she thinks her infant son, Wyatt, will be the first in a ‘Whole troop’ of children in her life. Now that’s what we can call a woman who loves kids.
We have steadily seen an increase in the number of Hollywood celebrities’ actress having the liking of having more than one or two kids. She further said that she always like the idea of an adoption even if she had her own kids. Well I think that Angelina Jolie adopting kids has caught the fancy of many of her co-stars or we can say that the Sheryl has had a positive rub off by Angelina’s adoption. Well you never know what some stars do at times convert into the latest rage or the ‘IN’ thing in Hollywood. She feels she always had an immense amount of love to give to others and feels that an adoption is the best way to give love of a child who has lost all. We salute the spirit of a mother who calls her newly born son her ‘main man’.
Jessica Simpson’s growing bust is a cause for the gossip makers these days, and her friends too are wonder about the reason behind the increasing size. All our wondering whether she is pregnant with on again, off again boy friend John Mayer’s baby. A pal said that Simpson’s breast had had recently grown so big in such a short time that the speculation that a stork could be visiting her quite soon. Another reason could be that off late she has been taking good care of herself and if any one of her friends asks her the big question, she will neither accept nor deny the reports. Now why speculate on a matter that we will all know about in a few days or max in a months’ time. Meanwhile for a change the singer has dyed her hair back to her original cornsilk shade.
Linkin Park finally launched their new album, “Minutes to Midnightâ€. What is interesting in this is that it is the first album ever to use a Music Video Interactive configuration. This means that it can be played on any DVD player but when you put it in a computer you will get extras like wallpapers, ring tones, bonus features and so on.
“Minutes to Midnight†is also the first ever MVI to reach no. 1 in Billboard 200. From the start the album sold 623,000 copies and dethroned Norah Jones’ “Not Too Late†album for the title of largest sales week of 2007 so far.
As expected, Linkin Park’s latest album was very popular and fans immediately bought it. The interesting fact will be how many will still buy it. I also purchased it as I expected something pretty good after such a long time but I was disappointed. My friends were disappointed and many critics were disappointed. Let us see what the public thinks!
Lady Sovereign offered an official apology for the fact that fans waited for her until 03:30 AM in Brooklyn in order to watch her perform last week. The “biggest midget in the game†only sung 2 songs and then left. She later said that:
“I know how stupid I must have looked on Friday. I was tired and not in the mood, having a bad day.â€
The news behind this event is that her tour bus broke down and she ended up arriving later for the four-songs scheduled performance. As stated she only sung two. Maybe it would have been better if she didn’t even appear. I mean 4 songs is not much at all and 2 is even worse than that
I am sure you heard at least once so far about one of the many humanitarian works did by U2 front man known as Bono. He surely made an impact on music and what is remarkable is that he did not stop there. With so many rock and pop stars only thinking about getting more money it is a delight to see one that is recognized for his efforts in promoting not only music but something more important as well.
The Irish rock star was just acknowledged for his actions and was appointed the title of knight by British Ambassador David Reddaway. Bono accepted the “Award†and was happy as he should be. Few celebrities have received this title and the fact that the U2 front man is among them says a lot about how his humanitarian work impacted the public.
Jordin Sparks is this year’s American Idol. Her dream came true as she got the vast majority of votes (74 million) to “defeat†Blake Lewis in the final. The winner is just 17 years old and is no stranger to spotlight. She is after all the daughter of former NFL player Phillipp Sparks and we can see the influence in her athletic body.
Jordin always wanted to be in American Idol. Youngsters waited for the age of 16 to get their driver’s license. She waited to be 16 to be allowed to audition for Idol. This is what happened, she was accepted and now she is the youngest American Idol winner ever. All of the previous superstars were over 20.
Lately we have witnessed a lot of stars attacking the Live Earth event. Now Neil Tennant (a member of the Pet Shop Boys) is the latest to attack the events that will be held this summer. Weather or not there is some interest in this the fact remains that he does say some hard things that seem so right:
“The Princess Diana concert is fair enough, but I feel more uneasy about the Al Gore thing. I’ve always been against the idea of rock stars lecturing people as if they know something the rest of us don’t – it looks arrogant. It’s not as if they have a private source of information. To state the obvious as if you are the only person that knows it is intellectually weak. Bono uses his celebrity, but in doing so he increases his celebrity. I’m never even totally convinced that the rest of U2 feel comfortable with that.â€
As you can see Neil also attacked Bono, probably one of the most known figures to promote Live Earth. It is right that the U2 front man gained a lot of popularity for such events and we never got to see the band as a whole getting involved in this. Maybe the Pet Shop Boys have something here. Maybe the Live Earth series is just designed to build more popularity and gain more money instead of what it was designed for.
Apparently Tom and Katie are planning on having more kittens to add to their litter. Life and Style magazine reports that a friend of the couple says that Tom really wants to give Suri a little brother or sister but would wait for Katie to be ready. And wouldn’t you know it? Katie is ready! So much so that they’re now converting one of the seven rooms of their newly purchased $35 million mansion into a nursery.
At least they waited a full year before going at it again unlike the now defunct family of Britney and KFed. OY! I don’t think we can handle any more Tom going loco episodes anyway.

This years MTV Movie Awards is gonna be sexy. MTV’s presenters include some of the most gorgeous ladies in Hollywood which include Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Beil and Cameron Diaz. Bruce Willis will also be part of this annual awards. Also part of MTV star studded awards include the wife of a soccer superstar Victoria Beckham and Justin Long. The cast of “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer†will also be taking their part which includes Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis, Chris Evans and Loan Gruffudd. Also joining them are stars John Travolta (Hairspray), Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Tucker. Whew! Its definitely gonna be one great show.

The couple’s massive house holding bills have been revealed in an employment tribunal over the sacking of their cook. The couple also once spent £6,000 on caviar and paid a chef £300 overtime to prepare a salad. Just can’t believe my ears, when I listen that there are people in this world paying a cook 300 pounds just to prepare a salad dish. Sting is a world famous singer and has multiple hits to his name. He earns in the millions and his carrier is one of the most successful in the music industry to date. He earns the bucks via albums, endorsements and the huge royalty he receives from the sales of his music. Surely they might do some charity as well and that is well publicized too. 500,000 pound in house hold expense can be the life long earning of many people. But on the flip side not many get to be invited to a dinner with Sting, only the super rich and famous are there at his place.
Sheryl Crow went shopping for newly adopted 3-week old son Wyatt. The 45-year old songstress ex of Lance Armstrong officially announced her adoption last week.
What is with Hollywood types adopting all of a sudden. It was just Angelina before and then Madonna and now Sheryl. Oh well, they’re helping kids so I guess it’s not really that bad. And hey! She’s a better choice for an adoptive mama than Madonna. There’s much less controversy to deal with.
You have to wonder though, why did she have the sudden urge to adopt? Is there a secret man that she’s building a family with? Or did she and Lance break up because she wants kids and he doesn’t? Hmm…

The versiatile singer debuted in 1990 and to date is the only singer to have her first five singles top the US Billboard top 100. Mariah Carey’s mixed ethnicities combine to create her unique beauty. With her dark eyes and smooth complexion, Mariah still has a knack for turning heads. She may have grown a fuller figure over the years, but that’s only worked in her favor to enhance her best assets. Mariah Carey has one of the best voices in pop music, combined with one of the best attitudes. The singer-and-actress reportedly visited Mexico’s Frank Gonzalez orphanage with her lawyer recently and rumors are now rife she is considering adopting a child.
Madonna has written a new song for Live Earth called “Hey Youâ€. It’s a complete 180 from her latest string of releases in that it’s a folk ballad that is highly unlikely to inspire movers and shakers to head to the dance floor in their leotards.
Although the song has pretty much been dissected by people saying things about weak lyrics and being too sentimental, you do have to remember that it is for charity. If I was to be asked, I’d take her lyrics over having Lindsay Lohan appear in a charity event.
I give Madonna props for really trying to clean up her act and image. I still think she’s trying too hard to be Europe’s adopted version of Angelina Jolie though.
Melinda is such a great singer and a contender in the American Idol. I was surprised that she got eliminated from the contest. Many of her fans and supporters were also shocked by the outcome of the episode. It really shows what kind of competition there is in the American Idol. This kind of events is not new for this show because the show continuously evolves. But I think Melinda still a winner. She came this far and everything seems to be bright for this 29-year old backup singer. I bet with her elimination she will come up much stronger. What future holds for Melinda? I don’t know but I would love to see her on top of the charts in the future.

Let this be a lesson to future “American Idol” contestants: A once-in-a-lifetime kiss from Simon Cowell might be deadlier than no kiss at all.
LaKisha Jones learned that Wednesday, one night after the notoriously unkind judge said her hoarse, uneven performance of the Bee Gees’ “Run to Me” didn’t warrant another peck.
Regardless, the top three is now set and Jones will not get her shot at the title, which she seemed to sense all night leading up to her elimination. As the final four waited for the news from host Ryan Seacrest, they had to wade through a performance of “Who Knew” from Pink, a montage documenting their private preview of this summer’s “Fantastic Four” sequel, an “Idol” yearbook montage in which the singers talked about their childhoods and a performance from this week’s mentor, Bee Gees singer/songwriter Barry Gibb.
Though the wait was typically long, LaKisha’s departure seemed imminent all night. She appeared listless during the group performance of a Bee Gees medley early in the show and when Seacrest asked the performers how they thought they’d done the night before, LaKisha talked about how she struggled with her outfit and changing the key of one of her songs right before Tuesday’s show.
With elimination looming, the “Idol” four put on a good face as they circled the wagons for a centerstage group huddle that they refused to break up even when Seacrest demanded it, but as 17-year-old wunderkind Jordin Sparks made her way to the safe house, followed by 29-year-old Melinda Doolittle, that left Lewis and Jones alone center stage.
When Seacrest waved Lewis on, the tuxedo-shirt wearing beatboxer gave Jones a long hug and they exchanged niceties as her going-away montage was cued up. By the end, tears were streaming down her face and, in a final bit of irony, Jones made her way off the stage with her boogie-stopping, half-tempo version of “Stayin’ Alive.”
Since Brad just finished filming a movie, it’s now Angelina’s turn to make some money. She’s currently over in Prague filming a thriller while Brad… he’s taking the kids to and from school. He’s gone from hot vampire to Greek half-god to domestic momm – rather daddy. Gone are the days on a red hot Porsche or monster Harley and hello to the days of the mini van.
While I respect the fact that both share time with their kids while maintaining their careers, wouldn’t the kids get confused? One minute they’re here and the next, they’re somewhere else. They only see one or the other and rarely both together. And where are Maddox and Shiloh?! Oh let me guess, they get a cameo on mommy’s movie. Doi.
