The mom-to-be is said to be sick and has postponed two concerts in Australia. She was supposed to perform in Melbourne on Saturday but the concert was moved until Sunday. The Sunday concert got postponed as well. There’s no word yet on when the date will be made up.

Word is going around that she has contracted some virus that has been going around her touring crew. Let’s all hope that she and the baby will get well soon.

The wedding between Usher and his pregnant fiance has been canceled, his publicist told .

The wedding between the multiplatinum singer and his longtime girlfriend, Tameka Foster, was scheduled for Saturday. The pair are expecting their first child together sometime this fall.

However, a statement released by publicist Patti Webster exclusively to the AP read: “It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond, IV and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected.”

Foster and Usher announced their engagement earlier this year, and later, that she was expecting his first child. She has three other children from a previous marriage.

Webster would not comment on whether the two were still engaged or even a couple.

I totally agree. We exist cocooned in a limiting sexist mentality, which only encourages exploitation and actively excludes the rest of the population. Most people are seeking positive initiatives to cope with living in todays confused and stressful society. It would be far better if the tabloids could reflect this and be bold enough to break the mould. The impact would be a real break through. We need to move forward into the real world! Like what is that we haven’t seen about a woman’s beauty that we need a daily dosage to remind ourselves about the beauty God has bestowed upon a woman. Fine it’s exciting watching them but hey man, leave it for the magazines and porn movies as they are enough of them already in this business. The Tabloids to have their area of reporting and it is certainly not publishing nude pics to sell their paper in the morning. Either they issue a clarification that the tabloids have turned into porn and nudity sellers or they could do with some sensible journalism. What u guys think out there!

Country singer Mindy McCready was taken into custody Wednesday at Nashville International Airport, accused of violating her probation after a scuffle with her mother and authorities in Florida, officials said.

McCready, 31, was arrested last week in Fort Myers, Fla., her hometown, on misdemeanor charges that she scratched her mother on the face and then resisted sheriff’s deputies.

She was on probation for obtaining the painkiller OxyContin fraudulently at a pharmacy in 2004. Still pending was another probation violation charge resulting from a drunken driving arrest in May 2005.

Deputy District Attorney General Derek Smith told The Tennessean that she violated probation in three ways: by being charged in a new offense; not reporting those charges immediately to her probation officer; and by the nature of the new assault charges.

An official at the Williamson County sheriff’s office just south of Nashville said McCready was being booked Wednesday night.

The Williamson County Court Clerk said McCready’s previous attorney, Lee Dryer, had withdrawn as her lawyer. It was not yet known whether she had a new attorney.

McCready had a hit in 1996 with “Guys Do It All the Time.” Her album “Ten Thousand Angels” sold 2 million copies that year.

The singer was found not guilty of the DUI charge in July 2006 but guilty of driving on a suspended license. She then pleaded guilty to violating her probation but has petitioned to withdraw that plea.

Firstly who did girl get to the club, what were her parents doing when they knew she was not with them and then how could she possibly get through the doors of an over 18 club. There are big men standing at the entrance and she could not have done anything to escape their eyes. And then look at Akon he just kept dancing with that girl, obviously the girl would have been pleased at having a chance to dance with a star singer but he could have acted more resposibily and told the staff at the club to take her out of the place. What he now says is if the girl was there dancing then why should have changed his fashion of dance see her. No morality you see, it’s all about fun no matter who the person opposite to you is?

Singer Kelly Clarkson has ended her high-profile feud with her record label boss Clive Davis, calling him “one of the great record men of all time”.
Arguments over material on her new album My December were thought to have caused the Grammy-winning vocalist to have fallen out with the BMG chairman.

On her website, she called Davis an “important force” in her success.

“I really regret how this has turned out and I apologise to those whom I have done disservice,” she said.

“I want my band, my advisors, those close to me and my record label to be one big, tightly-knit family,” Clarkson wrote.

“Like any family we will disagree and argue sometimes but, in the end, it’s respect and admiration that will keep us together.”

Davis, who is credited with launching the careers of stars like Whitney Houston and Alicia Keys, “has also given me respect by releasing my new album when he was not obligated to do so”, Clarkson added.

Sharon Osbourne’s music mogul father Don Arden has died at the age of 81.

Dubbed the Al Capone of Pop for his uncompromising business practices, he steered acts like ELO, The Small Faces and Black Sabbath to stardom.

Osbourne became estranged from her father after fighting him for control of husband Ozzy Osbourne’s career.

The pair were reconciled in 2002 after Arden developed Alzheimer’s disease. Osbourne’s spokesman said her father had died in a Los Angeles nursing home.

In the years following World War II, he established himself as a singer in the West End and on radio.

Kanye West is to hold a benefit concert in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois on August 24 to raise money for his own charity foundation.

The special concert and a VIP event will raise funds for the Kanye West Foundation.

The Foundation was set up to help establish the Loop Dreams Teacher Training Institute in Chicago in 2008. The Institute will provide teachers with training, and allow them to incorporate hip-hop into their lessons.

The benefit is to take place at House Of Blues venue in Chicago. A VIP reception and a silent auction of Kanye West memorabilia will also take place at Hotel Sax.

Those who attend the concert will also be treated to excerpts from West’s forthcoming Graduation album. Featuring contributions from Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Jon Brion, Graduation is due for release on August 21.

Mike Skinner has revealed that the Streets’ fourth album has been pushed until 2008.

The frontman made the statement on his MySpace blog, claiming that pressure of coming up with a follow-up to 2006’s The Hardest Way To Make A Living was becoming too much.

In a message posted yesterday (July 18), he writes:

“Making an album when you’re quite well known is a bit stressful. I’ve had to accept this week that because my album isn’t quite right yet it won’t be coming out this year. I think I’ve got the makings of a great record, but I’ve been working so hard on it my head is spinning at the end of every day and when I wake up each morning the first thing I feel is panic.

“I’ve decided to try to get some distance from it while we do this Scotland tour, Get Loaded (In The Park) and Ibiza. This also means I’ll maintain my tidy pattern of releasing an album in 2002, 2004, 2006 and, now, 2008.”

The 30-year old singer just released his ‘inspirational memoir’ called ‘Heart Full of Soul’. I say, it’s a ‘book full of snooze’. In addition to commenting on his lackluster post-Idol career, the 272-page memoirs says how Taylor agrees with Eminem, quoting the rapper’s ‘Lose Yourself’ lyrics of ‘when you only have one shot, you’d better lose yourself in the music’.

The term ‘diva’ doesn’t have to apply to just women you know? The blue-eyed soul singer Robin Thicke is out to prove that to the world. It seems like touring with Beyonce has done things on his attitude.

Robin threw a scene-stealing tantrum in the lobby of the Dream Hotel in New York City Thursday morning. He arrived at the hotel to check in only to find out that his room wasn’t ready yet. A witness says that he was banging his hands on the front desk, yelling at the staff in the lobby and was really making an ugly scene.

He then went to Serafina for breakfast but still kept ranting about it. Damn baby!

Carrie Underwood doesn’t want to spend her life jaded, waitin’—or just resting on her laurels. Arista Records and 19 Recordings announced Monday that the follow-up to the country crossover star’s mega-hit debut Some Hearts has been slated for an Oct. 23 release. While it seems as if Underwood must be on her third or fourth album by now, that’s only because the multiplatinum-selling Some Hearts took up residence at number one on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart back in 2005… and managed to return to that spot multiple times over the next two and half years. Some Hearts was named the best-selling album of all genres at the Billboard Music Awards in December, Underwood’s eighth sales-fueled trophy in two years. Now if that is not some achievement then I wonder that is! Some Hearts has been selling @@@.. lost the count by a mile. She is so talented and has the right thought process when she says she ain’t going to rest on previous laurels and spend life jaded.

The Mercury Prize nominees have been announced. For those not in the know, the annual Mercury Music Prize awards recognizes the best in British music regardless of genre or style ever since 1992.

Independent panelists of industry experts, journalist, record executives and the like select 12 ‘Albums of the Year’ before choosing an overall winner on the night of the Mercury Music Show. The US started the equivalent Shortlist Awards a few years ago.

Four notable nominations are for Amy Winehouse, who I think is the front runner with ‘Back to Black’; Fionn Regan, the guy pictured, with his ‘The End of History’; Bat for Lashes with ‘Fur and Gold’; and New Young Pony Club with ‘Fantastic Playroom’.

The forever disheveled newlywed ran down to the store to buy her self a can of tuna, some mayo and some milk. The diet secrets of her waif figure or hangover cravings? It could be both.

See, this is what she does when she’s not out performing, or rather, not out canceling her supposed performances and not going out to pubs getting plastered which leads her to canceling shows. She eats tuna.

People have been missing Steve-O, or at the very least, the otherwise normal Steve-O. The MTV reality star is apparently going through some rough times and scaring his friends and family.

Rihanna has come from being a no-name girl from Barbados to the top of the charts. She posted a message on her website that speaks of her rapid rise to fame. “So much has happened in my life, I feel like I’ve grown 5 years in a year.”

Proof of that is how people can’t get enough of her smash collaboration with Jay-Z, Umbrella. The song has been a mainstay at the top of the charts for months now and has conquered the US pop charts by having the song be at number 1 for the seventh consecutive week.

The popularity doesn’t stop there. The single has also claimed the top spot on the UK charts for the 9th week in a row. None but Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy has been able to do so since 1994.

Popstar Fergie was left red-faced during a radio show chat recently when her mother enquired about a stripper pole that her boyfriend has installed in their bedroom. Fergie was taken aback when Los Angeles DJ Ryan interrupted his Transatlantic talk with The Black Peas star to introduce her mother, Terri. And the London Bridge singer’s mum wanted to know whether reports that her daughter’s boyfriend has actually installed the stripper pole for the singer in their bedroom, were true. Well what’s wrong with having a stripper pole in your own room, atleast she’s not yet going to a striptease bar or somewhere to show off her assets and pose for a magz. A couple would in any way have hot intimate moments in their room and if it could be made to have fun and liven up the atmosphere then so be it. There is nothing to be embarrassed about at all. Yeah, just make sure that none of this is being captured on the videos or else the next morning when you switch on the television you could see a production copy of your previous night.

Fall Out Boy front man Pete Wentz stripped down to his boxer briefs (and tube socks). He was joined in semi-nakedness by the rest of the boys from the Honda Civic Tour for their last concert together in Anaheim, California.

Ashlee Simpson cheered for her underwear-clad lover and the rest of the boys from backstage. She saw the likes of The Butcher from The Academy Is, Andy Hurley from Fall Out Boy and the evening’s M.C., known as Dirty, in the same boxer glory as Pete.

What a lucky gal. She may not be the most likely to be someone’s idol but I’m sure people would love to trade places with her at that moment.

As if he hasn’t been doing it before, Pete Doherty drowned his blues with his band Babyshambles during the Oxegen Music Festival in alcohol. Incidentally enough, the event was sponsored by Heineken.

He’s broken up with Kate Moss, he’s been busted for drugs and is surrounded by allegations of an affair, I get why he feels the need. Actually, it’s not a need because of the stuff happening, it’s a need because he’s dependent.

Anyway, the band entertained over 80,000 fans at the festival which featured over 50 acts including Avril Lavigne, Mika and Daft Punk. With company like that, I’ll resort to drinking too.

Ol’ Dirty Bastard is gone, but the rapper’s spirit looms large over “The 8 Diagrams,” the Wu-Tang Clan’s first album since 2001.

The set is due in October via SRC (a joint venture of Steven Rifkind and Universal Motown).

“He left a piece of himself in each and every one of us,” group member RZA told Billboard of ODB, a founding member of the group, who died in 2004. “Even in the performance of some of the lyrics, you’ll hear a style or attitude that he injected.”

Although the hip-hop collective has been active on the road since last year, its members didn’t hit the studio until April. “Me personally, I wasn’t ready until then,” RZA admitted. “I reached out when I knew I was 100 percent ready to do it, and everybody came to the table.”

Beyond the ODB tribute “Life Changes,” the album will include tracks like “You Can’t Stop Me Now,” “We Got This,” “Campfire” and “Thug World,” which features System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian. Rapper Q-Tip appears on an as-yet-unnamed track that may wind up being the first single.

For a change, RZA yielded some of the production duties to a handful of major names he isn’t quite ready to reveal. “You will hear some unique-sounding stuff and a vintage hip-hop spirit,” he promised.

RZA said he is also working with an ODB outtake that originally was recorded for the group’s seminal album “Enter the 36 Chambers.”

“I lost it, because the DJ who handled my equipment back then, we just got disconnected,” he said. “He actually found the tape about eight months ago and flew out to California with it. The problem is, it doesn’t sound all that great, because this was 1992 or 1993 when it was recorded. But ODB’s performance is f—in’ immaculate. So maybe I can find some software to restore it and put it on as a bonus track.”

The volatile front man of Guns ‘n Roses Axl Rose did not perform at the Live Earth stage in Rio and he wants every single (remaining) fan to know why. In a ridiculous move, Axl called for a press release wherein he whined about why he did not perform at the concert series.

He points out that he was not asked to perform at the benefit concert until the last couple of weeks and the band was already book for a tour in Australia as well as other sold-out dates in Japan. Al Gore himself was the one that asked Axl to perform with Lenny Kravitz but Lenny ended up canceling due to an injury. However, Lenny recovered and winded up performing in Rio.

Nicole Richie isn’t the only one having some legal troubles. Rapper Busta Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Smith, arrived in a Manhattan court on Tuesday to proclaim his innocence. And he has to proclaim it many times over.

The rapper is now facing four court trials. That’s worse than Nicole and Paris Hilton combined. He was accused of attacking two men, driving drunk and driving with a suspended license. A judge just denied a motion to consolidate some of those allegations.

Busta is going to need all the luck in the world. Otherwise, he’s busted. It’s corny, I know.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s marriage is being tested to the full this summer because the couple is rarely on the same continent. Rock matriarch-turned-reality TV star Sharon admits her work as a judge on Britain’s “The X Factor” and America’s Got Talent in the U.S. is keeping her busy while her husband is touring the world. And she admits the added workload is putting a strain on their marriage. Like there are weekends off in America to allow parents to be with kids and enjoy the weekend together there should also be a rule or laws that make it mandatory for busy celebrities to take time off for family. How much these guys want to earn and what will they do with the money if there is no love and affection in life. With so much money they should plan a fortnight off and go for a vacation. I know you two will get through it! You two love eachother and if it gets to be to much you will let the shows go! Best of luck to you!

The rapper is so enamored with the English city that he is scouring its streets for a new home. He says, “I’m looking to buy a place in London at the moment. I just love this city, and I seem to be spending so much time here that it seems like the logical thing to do. Ideally I’d like to live in Soho, although I guess it might be a little noisy.” This man is so rich that he can afford to own a property in every country he would like to. After just being linked to British actress Miller, some would say he is moving to England just to be close to her which is absolutely rubbish, coz if this were the case then bet u he would already be own atleast a dozen or more homes in the world as his love interests could be from Latin America to best be left to guess where. And however rich he may be a place in London and other great metropolis of the world does cost a few million dollars to stay there.

Michael Jackson has blasted claims he was too busy to appear at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) awards, branding the allegations “false and defamatory”. The singer was asked to appear at the BET ceremony in Los Angeles on June 26 to perform a special Thriller album tribute and to present his mentor Diana Ross with a Lifetime Achievement Award - but American news agencies claimed Jackson was “too incapacitated to appear.” I know he was black! I know he has this problem or so he says! When I was a kid We all listend to him but he has nothing any more all the people that stick buy him are crazy I dont like liars, cheaters, or people that think it is ok to bed children or touch them. Clay Aiken is about to enter a world of back-stabbing, scandal and diva fits and no, it’s not backstage at “American Idol.” He’s taping an appearance on NBC’s “Days of our Lives.”

The 27-year-old Aiken, from Raleigh, N.C., will perform two songs, one from his new album “A Thousand Different Ways,” and “O Holy Night” from his 2004 CD “Merry Christmas with Love,” the soap opera’s spokeswoman, Kellie Kulikowsky, told The Associated Press.

He’ll take the stage for a private concert for Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) at the club Dune in the town of Salem. The episode is scheduled to air Dec. 22.

Aiken, whose devoted fans are called “Claymates,” was runner-up in the second season of Fox’s “American Idol” to Ruben Studdard.

Colombian singer Shakira has canceled her summer concert in Lebanon over security fears. The Beautiful Liar hitmaker - who is part Lebanese - ruled out performing in the country after heightened security and political tensions, according to MTV. Wafa Saab, a spokeswoman for the Beiteddine Festival, says international performers and tourists had refused to travel to Lebanon. She is absolutely right in canceling the gig, as it’s just not her who is at risk. There are other musicians and other people who would be traveling along with her. She would be responsible for their safety as well coz the middle-east is one of the most unstable places to visit right now and if there were to be some untoward incident the fans could also be hurt. Shakira had recently visited India for the first time so there could be hope that in future she could make a stop in the middle-east.

Avril Lavigne is being sued for allegedly copying her single ‘Girlfriend’ from The Rubinoos’ 1979 hit ‘I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend’. Chantal Kreviazuk also claims that Avril did not even acknowledge that Chantal wrote the song ‘Contagious’ which can also be found on Avril’s ‘Best Damn Thing’ album.

In support of Tommy Dunbar, the founding member of The Rubinoos, veteran music critic Stephen Thoman Erlewine wrote on Billboard.com that ‘Girlfriend’ was a total rip off. But Avril’s manager tells the AP that the claim is baseless. He says that he even hired a musicologist to study the two tracks and that the conclusion was that they were two completely different songs.
