Rihanna has come from being a no-name girl from Barbados to the top of the charts. She posted a message on her website that speaks of her rapid rise to fame. “So much has happened in my life, I feel like I’ve grown 5 years in a year.â€
Proof of that is how people can’t get enough of her smash collaboration with Jay-Z, Umbrella. The song has been a mainstay at the top of the charts for months now and has conquered the US pop charts by having the song be at number 1 for the seventh consecutive week.
The popularity doesn’t stop there. The single has also claimed the top spot on the UK charts for the 9th week in a row. None but Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy has been able to do so since 1994.
