The ‘Rehab’ singer had a concert in Zurich a few nights ago and it was a complete turnaround from her Amsterdam show. To say that it was a complete disaster would be putting it gently. She was constantly drinking on stage, was crying all the time and she could hardly sing her songs.
A lot of people reportedly left her show 20 minutes into it. Now that’s just sad.

Country music superstar John Rich of the band Big & Rich believes that gays and lesbians are merely second class citizens that do not deserve to be granted equal rights. It’s not really any news, I just think it’s sad and so close-minded.
The Tennessean got an interview with him and John said he is a supporter of Fred Thompson’s presidential bid because he is a conservative who agrees with Fred’s voting record of being pro-life and being against gay marriage. John told the paper, “I think if you legalize that, you’ve got to legalize some other things that are pretty unsavory.â€
Sara Evans wasted no time getting back to what she does best in the music game after her divorce. While it’s true that this is a compilation released just a week after the messy event was final, this set arrived and four of its 14 cuts are new tracks.There are some real problems with assembling a collection like this: for starters it contains not a single cut from her excellent debut, Three Chords and the Truth, issued in 1997. Greatest Hits is essentially every big single, but ignores some of the also-rans in favor of new songs. That’s fine and it’s accurate, but it feels incomplete. The new cuts are part of the problem: the album opens with “As if,” an anthemic but generic love song written with Hillary Lindsey and John Shanks, who produced all the new cuts (and you can be sure at least two of them will end up on her next studio effort).
The cut is full of big, compressed guitars and muted, programmed-sounding drums — despite the fact that Evans has one of the best bands in the business.

Britney’s dance studio of choice Millennium Dance Complex held dancers’ auditions for the pop star citing a new video and a potential tour. Apparently, Britney doesn’t have any idea about it. Until recently.
Paparazzi caught Britney over the weekend and she talked to them about her next video for a song called ‘Someone’ which is set for release in December. When she was asked if any of the dancers from the auditions would be at the shoot, she said that she’s the only one who’s going to be in the video.
There’s also no official word whether she will go on tour so those dancers better hold on to their day jobs.

A source told the NY Daily News that “Divorce is just around the corner.†According to their report, Pink and Carey had a ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy when it comes to cheating and that he was allowed to have his fun when she was away.

Victoria Beckham and Melanie Brown were seen arriving at a London airport on Friday after a flight from Los Angeles, California. The two were in town to meet with the rest of the girls to shoot their upcoming Spice Girls music video for ‘Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)’.
The girls are keeping the fans informed now as they launched a blog on their official website. The first post was one from Mel C where she talked about tour preparations. She mentioned that she had a meeting with Roberto Cavalli’s team last week and raved about the costumes.

Celine Dion has released a new video. It’s for the first single off of her new album called ‘Taking Chances’. Incidentally enough, the single and the album have the same name.
The video features the French Canadian singer with a spy helmet. The video is definitely on the hi-tech side. Celine’s new album is scheduled for release on November 13.
Celine is still not done with her entertainment extravaganza of four years at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas but her last show has already been scheduled for December 15. I wonder if she’s going to tour in support of her new album or would just integrate some new songs in her Las Vegas show.
With Britney Spears’ falling dignity, everything goes down with it. And that includes her so-called writing skills.
Sure, she’s never been confused with a true artist before but she has been credited for writing some songs. On her last album ‘In The Zone’, she was credited as a songwriter on seven of the songs. Five songs listed her as a co-writer on her 2001 self-titled album. But on her new album ‘Blackout’, Brit is listed as a songwriter for just two of the songs.
I guess she was just too out of it this time around. But then again, it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

If you have a record deal or millions in your bank account that doesn’t mean you are stupid. People need to understand that just because someone is repetitive and yet successful it does not mean she/he is stupid, it means that we are putting up with their shit and there are happy to oblige. Superstar Jennifer Lopez has played down reports of her extravagant backstage demands – insisting her former manager was to blame. In the past, the singer/actress’ list of requirements has included items such as white drapes and white couches, yellow roses with a red trim, and room temperature Evian water. And the list goes on and on to the extent that one could fill a full page of her demand, most of you might have read it too – her morning breakfast, time for meal and other things. But guys do not feel jealous and do not envy her for this, she is one of the best in the business today and she deserves every bit and more. When we like to see our favorite stars perform then they are entitled to these luxuries. At least the ticket prices of her concerts are not priced at $2000 like those of the Eagles, so that we can see her live on stage dancing and singing some great numbers.

John Mayer surprised some lucky concertgoers at the Mercury Lounge in New York City on Saturday night when he came up to the stage unannounced and started to perform an acoustic set.
John reportedly performed some new material along with some old ones. One person in attendance said that the new stuff sounds great. Another witness adds that one song was “an obvious slap to all the Jessica Simpsons of the worldâ€.

Kylie Minogue is back and she’s back with a vengeance. She’s planning to make her official comeback a big splash as the pop star has just announced a big TV special with ITV1 in the UK.The special is not quite a concert but much more than that. Kylie, alongside her longtime collaborator William Baker and a team, will present a ‘visual experience’ to accompany each track. Kylie says “My creative team and I are preparing a fabulous evening with a mixture of old songs, new songs and lots of surprises thrown into the mix as well.â€
The special is set to air some time in November which is around the same time as the release of Kylie’s new album.
Britney Spears comeback album ‘Blackout’ was supposed to be released in November but it has since been moved up to October 30th.
Jive Records, Brit’s label, is now aware that songs from the pop star’s forthcoming release, unfinished material and even demos have been leaked online. A label spokesperson has gone on the record with the statement that “Due to these numerous unauthorized on-line leaks, the label is doing everything possible to prevent and avoid any further illegal distribution of songs including moving up the release date of the album to October 30th.â€
I can practically hear those Halloween parties with her in the background.
