During her mid-30’s, Madonna’s biological clock started ticking and she was desperate to have children. According to a new book released today “Madonna: Like an Iconâ€, she almost let the late rapper Tupac Shakur bust a kid up in there. Well, she’s not OLD old, but she’s not young. She’s pushing fifty……and she has dude arms, and her face is kind ragged, but old would be…IVANA TRUMP or Joan Collins. You know the look. She has skinny old flabby legs, a gut and no ass, because they never exercise and sit around drinking champagne and screwing gigilos. What ever happened to the father of Lourdes? Is he like a tramp or something? And Madonna with that kid DAVID. Man, she had two nice kids. Then she goes and does that. WHY? I just don’t get it. I saw her live in 2001, she looked great. Now, not so much. I was given the tickets, folks. I’m not a huge fan…..actually; I am not a fan at all. Her daughter looks 17. Madonna better watch it! I have a young daughter; I dread it when she becomes “of age”
While the turn of phrase may be cliché, the overall sound of “Unbreakable” screams it loud and clear: Backstreet’s back. Unlike 2005’s uneven “comeback” album “Never Gone,” its follow-up finds the Boys dipping into their old bag of classic pop songs. They are a boy band with spot-on harmonies: They sing huge, hooky choruses; belt out sappy bridges (”I’m a house of cards in a hurricane,” the group wails on “Helpless When She Smiles”); and bop and groove to slickly produced dance numbers.
Nearly everything here is top 40 or AC radio-ready, particularly the piano-driven first single, “Inconsolable,” and the Beatles-y “Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon.” The boy band heyday might be long over and the group is now a man down (Kevin Richardson departed to pursue other interests), but Backstreet’s ready to try and melt your heart once again.
For all you fans of Gwen Stefani, that one-time punk/ska princess-turned-typical pop princess who now has a trendy fashion empire all to herself, now is your chance to see your favorite diva perform live, but make sure you get yourself those tickets sooner rather than later! After all, this peroxide-blonde beauty is a very popular icon among music fans of a certain age – and even some of those who loved her in her No Doubt days – so you are going to have to act fast to catch her remaining concerts while you can!
