Musician’s Daughter Found
After a month-long search, the three-year old daughter of electronic musician Brian Transeau, who performs under the name BT, was found last week. A team of US Marshals, two private investigation teams and the Santa Monica PD had been searching for Kaia since December and finally located her. Her mother, Ashley Duffy, was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Lynwood Jail without bail.
According to the authorities, Duffy abducted Kaia from BT’s Maryland hotel room. She was supposedly there for a visit but instead took the kid. A warrant for Duffy’s arrest came out two weeks ago for “out-of-state child abduction from the lawful custodian†and “out-of-state child detention from the lawful custodianâ€.
