Alicia Keys showed off a little arm candy in the form of her younger half brother Cole at the Alicia ‘Keep a Child Alive’ Black Ball which was held in St. John’s Smith Square on Thursday in London. Alicia and Cole share the same father but have different mothers. In other Alicia news, it’s being said that the 28-year old singing sensation is the top contender to sing the title song for the next James Bond movie ‘Quantum of Solace’. A source tells E! “I believe Alicia is the winner.” Amy Winehouse was originally set to sing the theme but we all know what she’s like.
The reunited New Kids on the Block stopped by a press conference for the European reunion tour dates at the Hotel Dorint Sofitel in Munich, Germany on Wednesday. Jordan Knight, Danny Wood, Donny Wahlberg, Jon Knight and Joey McIntyre were all present for the reunion. I wonder if they’re going to share the stage with fellow 80s band New Edition as they’ve recently recorded a new song together. Producer RedOne said “Donnie Wahlberg had this idea for a few months, since New Kids had the idea of getting back together really. Donnie’s been looking for that one track for all of them and I think we found it.”
Rihanna once again proved how global her fame is as she performs on Operacion Triunfo, the Spanish version of American Idol, in Barcelona, Spain on Wednesday. Rihanna performed ‘Hate That I Love You’ during the show with David Bisbal singing in Ne-Yo’s place. The Barbadian bombshell wasn’t just there to perform though as she also got a treat. The singer received two platinum CDs for album sales in excess of 800,000 copies sold. Congratulations to Rihanna! I’m sure she’s going to be getting some more of those awards with her ‘Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded’ album. Rihanna is the queen!
