Rapper and style icon Kanye West is coming out with a new clothing line and several sneak peek pictures of his line have come out. The new line is being called Pastelle and the pictures see outfits being modelled by Rihanna, rapper Lupe Fiasco and Kanye himself. The pictures were snapped backstage at one of his concerts. The website for the clothing line doesn’t have anything available on it yet but check it out every so often as things may be ready for purchase soon. If you want to see more of Rihanna, be sure to watch the MTV VMA Awards on September 7 and Fashion Rocks on September 9.

Gwen Stefani has given birth to her second child — and given it one Aztec of a silly name.

The singer and rocker hubby Gavin Rossdale have named the little mite Zuma Nesta Rock.

The couple have followed in the fashion for crazy names for celebrity tots with the moniker, which has Aztec origins.

The tot — born in Los Angeles on Thursday at eight pounds — is a brother to Kingston, two.

Gwen, 38, and Bush frontman Gavin, 42, released a statement yesterday which read: “Mother, baby and family are all happy and healthy.”

Speculation surrounded the unusual names last night. The name Zuma means Lord Frowns in Anger, though it is a short form of Montezuma, the fifth Aztec emperor. But it is also the name of a Japanese restaurant in London where the couple live.

Nesta was reggae legend Bob Marley’s middle name.

And Rock is . . . well, what both parents do for a living.

The tot is the latest silly celeb name casualty, after Jordan’s girl Princess Tiaamii, Gwyneth Paltrow’s Apple and Geri Halliwell’s Bluebell Madonna and the Beckham kids, Romeo, Brooklyn and Cruz.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake are finally set to record a duet.

The ‘Toxic’ singer and her ex-boyfriend, who have been the subject of rumours they will record a song together for months, are to reportedly team up for a track on Britney’s new album, due to be released later this year.

The pair were supposed to collaborate on a track for Britney’s last LP ‘Blackout’ but she missed the recording session scheduled at producer Timbaland’s studio. At the time, a source claimed Britney “just didn’t show up”.

Britney’s father Jamie – who is currently acting as co-conservator of her estate – is said to be keen for one time sweethearts to reunite. Earlier this year, it was reported Jamie had asked Justin to perform with Britney, but the ‘SexyBack’ singer had refused.

At the time, a source said: “Jamie wanted Justin to help Britney. For a time Justin seriously considered doing a couple of concerts with her to help her out.”

As well as a duet with Justin, Britney’s next album is set to include a song she has written about her sons – Sean Preston, two, and 23-month-old Jayden James. The troubled star revealed: “I’ve written a song for my next LP about them called ‘My Baby’. It’s a beautiful song, I’m really proud of it.”

Who says British train wrecks can’t have similar gimmicks? Lily Allen was having a good time in London last Monday night where she pulled a Wino. The singer hit up London’s Groucho club and it seems like Lily was really in a grouchy mood. On her way out, a funny drunk lady reportedly began heckling Lily. The singer responded by throwing a couple of punches. Her victim was a French girl who provoked her by calling her a “fucking asshole”. The Frenchy didn’t mind the punches though and even kept hurling more insults. A vexed Lily shouted back with “Yeah, come and say that to my face you fucking bitch.”

Country music teen sensation Taylor Swift joined the Jonas Brothers to shoot new scenes for their upcoming 3D movie in New York City’s Central Park last week. The 118-year old country singer was there as a surprise musical guest during the Jonas Brothers’ Madison Square Garden Show so they opted to put her in the movie as well. That and maybe that there have been rumors floating around that she’s actually dating 18-year old Joe. All Jonas Brothers fans better hurry quick because the brothers are being snatched off the market real fast. Oh well, at least none of them are being snatched by Miley Cyrus.

In case you didn’t know, comedian Dave Coulier was the inspiration behind Alanis Morissette’s legendary breakthrough song ‘You Oughta Know’. Several years after the fact, he’s finally talking about it saying “I said, ‘Wow, this girl is angry.’ And then I said, ‘Oh man, I think it’s Alanis.’ . . . I listened to the song over and over again, and I said, ‘I think I have really hurt this person.’ I tried to contact her and I finally got a hold of her. And at the same time, the press was calling and saying, ‘You want to comment on this song?’ I called her and I said, ‘Hi. Uh, what do you want me to say?’ And she said, ‘You can say whatever you want.’ We saw each other and hung out for an entire day. And it was beautiful. It was one of those things where it was kind of like, ‘We’re good.’”

Several reports have said that John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston are over. The pair have not been seen together for 3 weeks now after Jen pretty much acted like a groupie. John recently took a vacation to Mexico without Jen and Jen went out on the town without John. The Mirror says that Jen was dumped by the singer saying “The pair initially decided to spend some time apart… before making the break official earlier this week.” A source close to John also said “There’s been a bit of tension for some time. They initially opted for a break, hoping a trial split might make them stronger. Sadly it doesn’t seem to have worked. John took the decision to end things as he felt he just wasn’t ready for the level of commitment that Jennifer deserved. Initially, Jennifer was furious when he told her of his decision but now she’s simply sad – not to mention a little heartbroken…”

Mark Ronson has blasted Noel Gallagher. The Oasis rocker said last week the super-producer should “learn three chords on the guitar and go write a tune”, instead of ruining other people’s songs.

Now the ‘Valerie’ hitmaker – whose album of covers ‘Version’ was a massive hit – has taken a swipe at Noel joking he is being taught to play guitar by rapper Jay-Z.

The hip-hop star mocked the ‘Lyla’ rocker onstage at Glastonbury following Noel’s comments a rap artist should not headline the music event.

Mark wrote on his MySpace page: “I just want Noel to know that I’m actually taking guitar lessons from Jay-Z right now and he’s already taught me both chords to ‘Wonderwall’ (tune!). In fact, it’s so much fun having Jay teach me all of Noel’s songs on the guitar (hooray!) that I’m thinking of doing an Oasis/Jay Z remix album a la ‘The Grey Album’.

Potential titles are ‘Champagne Superhova’ or ‘Definitely Jay Z’.

“P.P.S. Noel, I did write a song called ‘Back to Black’, which actually has 7 chords in it!”

Mark’s DJ sister Samantha Ronson has also leapt to her brother’s defence. Referring to a recent Jay-Z collaboration with Kanye West which makes reference to Oasis in the lyrics, she wrote on her MySpace blog: “‘Jocking Jay-Z’ – the closest Noel from Oasis has been in years to being on the radio. He should stop focusing his energy on dissing people and go back to ripping off Beatles songs. far more productive. jealousy is really unbecoming.”

Someone is sour graping as a chick who left the country band Sugarland three years ago wants her cut of the profits now that the band’s latest album is sitting in a comfy spot on the Billboard charts. Kristen Hall is asking for $1.5 million from her former band mates Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush. She claims in a suit that they haven’t paid out her share of the agreement to share the loot. Sugarland also has a multi-platinum album but Kristen hasn’t done so well on her own. She’s just jealous that Sugarland has made it huge and that their latest album ‘Love on the Inside’ is number one on the Billboard charts.

Rihanna and Welsh soul singer Duffy were spotted as they were shopping for shoes at Barneys in New York City last week. I wonder how these two got to be friends. Maybe it’s the fact that in less than one month, the pair will help Fashion Rocks celebrates its fifth anniversary. I wonder if they are up for doing a duet. It’s going to be an interesting sound. The two singers will join other fellow performers at the September 5 celebration concert at New York’s Radio City Music Hall. Other performers include the likes of Chris Brown, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey and rapper Lil Wayne.

Katy Perry is going to rule the world one day and it looks like it’s going to be soon. The singer has grabbed on to the number one spot on the US charts for seven weeks in a row now with no indications of letting go. If dominating the US wasn’t enough, Katy’s ‘I Kissed a Girl’ has also reached the number one spot on the UK singles charts. Congratulations go out to Katy. If the US charts are anything to go by, I have a great feeling that she’s going to be holding on to that top spot in the UK for a good while too.

According to an announcement made late last week, Miley Cyrus’ US number one album ‘Breakout’ has been licensed for distribution in Europe. It’s being promoted as her first album outside the Hannah Montana Disney Channel TV show and will be released in Europe by Universal Music and by Polydor Records in the UK on September 1. Her past efforts in the UK ‘Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus’ and ‘Hannah Montana’ achieved gold status but the ‘Best of Both Worlds’ live album only peaked at number 69 on the European Hot 100. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if ‘Breakout’ will do any better.

Joss Stone is recording a song for US democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

The ‘Fell in Love With A Boy’ singer was reportedly asked to lend her voice to the song – which will be used as a theme to Obama’s election campaign later this year – because she will appeal to voters of all races.

A source said: “Joss is a big supporter of Barack Obama and was very excited to be asked to do this for him. He sent her a personal message asking her to get on board. He has always admired her music and thinks she is the perfect choice because of her unique appeal to black and white voters. She believes he is going to be the first black American president and she is honoured to be part of that.”

R’n'B star Alicia Keys and rapper Jay-Z have also pledged their support to Obama, with both dedicating songs to him. However, the politician blasted a controversial song recorded by rapper Ludacris last week.

In the track ‘Politics as Usual’, Ludacris called Hillary Clinton – who competed with Obama to become the democratic candidate – a “b***h” and said republican candidate John McCain did not belong “in any chair unless he’s paralyzed”.

Vanessa Hudgens continued to work the crowd when she made the third date for her solo tour in Baton Rouge, Louisiana last Saturday night. The 19-year old High School Musical star performed songs from her new album ‘Identified’ at the Dixie Landing Theme Park. Now I get the theme for her tour – playing at theme parks. Vanessa was being cheered on by her parents, Gina and Greg, and her younger sister Stella. Later this year, Vanessa will join her HSM co-star Corbin Bleu for a performance at the Iowa State Fair – because theme parks and state fairs are really all that she’s good for.

Justin Timberlake says Madonna is a very ’specific’ person to work with.

Justin – who collaborated with Madonna on single ‘4 Minutes’ – admits it took time for the musical pair to see eye to eye during their recording sessions.

The 27-year-old singer said: “Madonna is definitely specific about what she wants and I can’t knock her for that. I respond to that because I’m that way, too. But I also think that it took us just a second to mesh our style, that’s all. We’re both strong personalities, some of us stronger than others and I didn’t know it at the time. But I actually enjoyed the process of working with her.”

The ‘SexyBack’ singer also confirmed that despite starring in movies including ‘Black Snake Moan’ and ‘The Love Guru’, he has no plans to give up his music career.

He added: “I know I’ll never let go of music, not in a full capacity. I don’t know that I’ll be the type of artist that puts out 20 albums because that’s not me either, but I enjoy it. I want to be a two sport athlete. I want to do music and film.”

Jessica Simpson visited her quarterback boyfriend Tony Romo at Dallas Cowboys training camp in Oxnard, California last week. Cowboys’ fans should really start fearing her presence now. Everyone knows she’s cursed. Speaking of fears, Jessica recently talked about her fears about her recent move from pop to country saying “I think my biggest fear was failure. I realized what makes this record successful is that I actually made it because I was so afraid of failure and I was so afraid to sing again and I was so afraid to be judged, and I’ve been broken so many times, but I do know my calling in life and I do know that God gave me a voice to use it and that it would be a shame if I let fear get the best of me.”

Sources reveal that the New Kids on the Block album called ‘Block’ will be released on September 2. They will also be releasing a new single off of it, a duet with Ne-Yo, called ‘Single’. They’re a creative group of guys aren’t they? Some of the producers who have worked with the guys on their new album include the likes of Timbaland, Teddy Riley, RedOne and Polow Da Don. The album also has songs featuring guest vocals by the Pussycat Dolls and Lady Gaga. Looking at those names, it sounds like the album is shaping up in a very interesting way. It’s going to be real different from what we last heard of them before they broke up.
