‘Just Stand Up’ is a new all-star charity single which was recorded by 15 of the most well-known singers in anticipation of the September 5 ‘Stand Up for Cancer’ telethon. The track was produced by Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds and LA Reid. The song starts off with solos by Beyonce and Carrie Underwood. You will also hear the likes of Fergie, Leona Lewis and Mary J. Blige belting it out. Other vocalists on the track include Mariah Carey, Sheryl Crow, Rihanna, Melissa Etheridge, Miley Cyrus, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara and LeAnn Rimes. Talk about a powerhouse of stars. The track will be available on iTunes on September 2.
There will be no Britney Spears at this year’s VMA’s
After much speculation about Britney’s (second) comeback, Ryan Seacrest exclusively revealed on his radio show last Monday morning that the fallen popstar will not be performing at the awards show.
Ryan reports that he spoke with Britney’s manager Larry Rudolph through email and said that that the report is “just wrong”.
According to Larry, “Britney Spears will not be performing at the VMAs this year … I’m telling you officially and unequivocally that Britney Spears will not be there.”
Rumors started that she was set to perform at the VMA’s because E! News quoted celebrity hairstylist Kim Vo that he was designing hairstyles for Britney’s VMA night . He said that he was designing one for red carpet, one for the show and one for her PERFORMANCE.
Sadly, his claim is nothing more than just a rumor and, I would honestly believe Larry Rudolph other than some celebrity stylist.
So unless this is a major cover-up for a surprise, I wouldn’t really want to believe that she’s performing at the VMA’s. Sucks though, I was hoping for another disastrous performance from her.
