Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and his wife, Jordyn, are going to be parents for a second time!
Their first child, daughter Violet, was born in 2006.
Congrats!
I was just thinking, wouldn’t be awesome if
Wouldn’t it be cool if the Grohl children teamed up with the Stefani-Rossdale boys and the Beckam boys to form a rock band?
I THINK THAT WOULD BE COOL.
Bibles are getting whipped out everywhere! In a new interview with Reba McEntire, the singer revealed that she believes in reincarnation. The country icon said “I believe in reincarnation. I believe I’ve gone both ways — that I have been here before as a man. I will get flak from Christians who will say I can’t be a Christian if I believe this… I’m sorry, but this is how I live my life, this is what I believe. I believe I have spent time with my son, Shelby, before. I believe I have spent time with other people in my life before. Who knows? Maybe I’m part Buddhist.”
The TV execs are running really low on ideas for good programming. In an effort to bring something new to the table this year, they are going to convert the usual Grammy nominations into an hour-long TV special event. ‘The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! – Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night’ will air on CBS this December 3rd. The show will include around 6 categories worth of nominations and will also feature performances by past winners and will mark the opening of the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. The presenters and performers are yet to be announced. Why the gimmick? It turns out that the ceremonies have been dropping in the ratings. Last year’s show was one of the least watched Grammys of all time.
Check out the making of New Kids on the Block’s video for “Single” featuring Ne-Yo. Rise Against, who recently released Appeal To Reason, has also lent their unique punk rock sound to the Nightmare Revisited soundtrack. The Chicago bred quartet has put a nightmarish twist on Danny Elfman’s original “Making Christmas” and the video to go along side the track can be seen here.
The Nightmare Revisited soundtrack also featuring Marilyn Manson, The All-American Rejects, RJD2 and more is available in stores now.

Taylor Swift recently went to her official blog to talk about love songs. More importantly, she talked about sad love songs. Me thinks she was listening to them as therapy for having been dumped by Joe Jonas over the phone. Who wouldn’t be depressed after that? She said “I just got back from a 5 show run on the road. Now I’m sitting in my kitchen..on the counter. Eating cool whip. And trying to think of things to do with my free time. Other than talking to my cat and making playlists of sad songs.

George Michael’s recent drug arrest might have cost him a Lifetime Achievement Brit Award but that doesn’t mean the arrest will stand in the way of his effort to make money. The $5.2 billion Emirate Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi has just ponied up $1.7 million for the singer to play there in November. He better watch himself though. If he gets caught doing drugs on his Middle East outing, I don’t think the UAE will be as kind and lenient as England. There’s no way that they would let him off just because he begs and cries to be let off easy.
Britney Spears has unleashed her much-anticipated ‘Womanizer’ music video which was show in Los Angeles for two days back in late September. And if you were wondering, yes, she starts off the video completely naked. It seems like a trend with her videos, no? Hey, if you’ve got it, flaunt it. Joseph Kahn, who also directed Brit’s videos for ‘Stronger’ and ‘Toxic’, took the helm again for ‘Womanizer’. In my opinion, those are two of her best videos and ‘Womanizer’ is shaping up to join them in their ranking. Not to mention, Joseph just won the Pussycat Dolls a VMA for their ‘When I Grow Up’ video.
Fall Out Boy’s new album ‘Folie a Deux’ was scheduled to go on sale on election day in America, Tuesday, November 4th. However, the band is having serious doubts about the cutesy tie-in and has rallied to get their label to change the release. The band explains their reason saying “Six months ago we thought it would be a fun idea to release our album on election day but this is not the election to be cute. We felt as though rather than making a commentary we were only riding the wave of the election. This seemed less and less like what we intended to do and more of a gimmick. It is now in the hands of our label to give us a new release date… it is our intent to get our record out this year and as soon as possible — as we made sure to have it done in time for its original release.” And it worked. The album is now going to be released on December 16th.
I guess someone still likes Avril Lavigne as she was recently awarded with the Certificate of Honor from the China Association of Social Workers recently. The 24-year old Canadian singer had helped to raise funds for poor families and children with disabilities in China during her Best Damn Tour. She even presented gifts to children from China’s earthquake stricken Sichuan province. Avril also performed her last stop on her world tour at Beijing’s Wukesong Indoor Stadium. I guess even the biggest of douche bags can still do good things. Kudos go out to Avril! If anything, she can quit the singing and go for the humanitarian route if she wants to gain more fans.
The official soundtrack listing for the movie ‘Twilight’ was recently released on the official website of Stephanie Meyer. Interestingly enough, there’s a song called ‘Never Think’ by Rob Pattinson. It’s the first time that he’s ever recorded or release music. The rest of the list includes Muse’s ‘Supermassive Black Hole’, Paramore’s ‘Decode’ and ‘I Caught Myself’, The Black Ghosts ‘Full Moon’, Linkin Park’s ‘Leave Out All the Rest’, MuteMath’s ‘Spotlight (Twilight Mix)’, Perry Farrell’s ‘Going All the Way (Into the Twilight)’, Collective Soul’s ‘Tremble for My Beloved’, Blue Foundation’s ‘Eyes on Fire’, Iron & Wine’s ‘Flightless Bird, American Mouth’ and Carter Burwell’s ‘Bella’s Lullaby’.
While Madonna and Guy Ritchie find new ways after divorce, the British Columbian-born singer Nelly Furtado has revealed her marriage.
During an interview with “Entertainment Tonight Canada”, she confirmed that she wed her sound engineer Demacio “Demo” Castellon during the summer.
Furtado said, “We got married July 19th. I love it. It’s a nice phase of my life.”
The singer further added, “I just feel kind of free and relaxed and more in tune with trying not to be so stressed out. [I’m] trying to enjoy things a little more.”
She should be enjoying and moaning every moment of her new life.
After all a sound engineer knows from where her best moans are generated.
