As they say, don’t judge a book by its cover. It may seem all warm and fuzzy to us not in with what goes on behind the scenes but it seems that there’s some drama going on with Britney Spears’ tour. According to Life & Style, Brit has dumped her choreographers Wade Robson and Andre Fuentes who have helped her launch her comeback appearances in Europe, Japan and on US television. A source said that the two choreographers were only hired for the promotional tour and not the actual tour. Not exactly true considering that Wade was publicly announced as the director for the upcoming tour. Now, it’s being said that it will be Jamie King who will be the tour’s director as the agency which represents him has posted an announcement on their official website. There’s some rumors that Wade and Andre actually quit.
Shakira and her fiancé, Antonio de la Rua, were caught looking picture perfect on their sprawling farm in the beautiful resort town of Punta del Este, Uruguay. The couple usually spends the holidays there with their friends and family while the tiny Colombian singer works on new material. Everyone was looking so happy that day. The intrusion of privacy didn’t seem to matter. Shakira was also seen playing with an adorable puppy. I wonder if the puppy is practice for when they might have a baby. I bet the couple will make some beautiful babies. Can you imagine little Shakiras toddling around?
Despite reports, Tim McGraw isn’t going to run for Tennessee Governor just yet as he says that he has to get a lot smarter before he does. The country singer’s rep has spoken to People saying “There is no truth to this. It’s something he is interested in, but not for 2010. Later in life.” Tim was reportedly being groomed for a run at the Governor’s office by Tennessee Democrats. Tim said “I would want to do it just to say I did it. I think I gotta get a lot smarter between now and then!” At least we know he’s responsible to some extent.
Lily Allen recently gave an interview with UK music magazine NME where she rated her crappy BBC TV show a failing grade, rating it a 5 out of 10. Her show ‘Lily Allen and Friends’ debuted to a very dismaly reception after half the show’s online audience left before the taping ended. But she does admit that “I made a lot of money out of it. Thank you, TV license-payers, that was very nice of you. You think Russell Brand is your problem but actually it was me.” Newsflash Lily, we already knew that from the beginning. It wasn’t that hard to figure it out.
Katy Perry recently sat down for an interview with Fabulous magazine where the ‘Hot n Cold’ singer talked about being who she is. She said “I say what I think. I’m a real person, not some manufactured pop tart who’s afraid to step out of the hotel room. I am flawed. I swear, I have the occasional cocktail, I pick my nose and I fart. I’m not running for any presidential campaign at the moment. I’m a sassy girl.” As if we didn’t know about the sassy part already. But it’s great that she’s completely honest about it unlike people who pretend they’re nice.
I didn’t want to be so cruel but that’s a truth which most would agree with me. The world is better off without her and having her amongst humans would undermine the good things we preach to our kids.
The wild, completely out of control drunk singer Amy Winehouse reportedly left a London hospital that post spending near to a at the hospital. The “Back To Black” hit maker was admitted to the exclusive London Clinic last month, with a representative claiming she was suffering from an adverse reaction to prescription medication.
Prescription medication or drugs whatever you call I shall tell what it is if at all I can describe it well, she would have fainted injected those drug into her veins and might have been found lying in the bathroom because of a routine overdose that just went through the roof.
I hope this description is a bit more subdued compared to what Amy does to herself. My advice to exclusive London Clinic is that they prepare to re-admit her the coming week. During that time they might as well name the rehab wing of the hospital after her. Sure Amy will love that.

Reporters recently spied upon Lopez during the premiere of “The Curious case of Benjamin Button” without her wedding band or her 8-carat diamond engagement ring. Anthony was also missing.
Anthony’s representatives are insisting that the two are doing great as a couple but rumors have been further flamed by reports that even Anthony is no longer wearing his band. The brewing conflict between the two was blamed on Anthony’s ever-controlling attitude towards Lopez who reportedly keeps tabs on Lopez’s phone calls and even picks out her clothes.
There was a time when Lopez admitted to looking forward to Anthony’s opinions but now it seems that his approval is the least that worries her. The birth of their twins who are already 10 months old is also causing conflict in the household because Anthony is starting to become irked with their crying bouts.
The skyrocketing career of Lopez has also been blamed for the impending break-up. Lopez used to get a juicy $15 million per movie with her “Maid in Manhattan” flick earning more than $94 million in revenues. But now, even the couple’s “El Cantante” drama shown in 2006 could not even pass the $8 million mark.

In a futile attempt to salvage its ratings, American Idol is making a few minor adjustments this coming season.
These adjustments are scheduled to be announced later this week however they’ve already been leaked via an AI fansite which somehow got a hold of a production memo.
Without changing too much of the show’s format – which initially earned it top ratings – AI will be making a minor shift toward “real talent.”
- There will be fewer audition rounds (and thusly, less of Simon’s sarcasm) and more Hollywood episodes, to shift the emphasis on “aspirational” singers, rather than attention-hungry whores or those inflicted with “I think I can sing” syndrome.
- The semifinalist round will be expanded to 36 contestants instead of the usual 24.
- Return of the second chance “wild card” round.
- Idol Gives Back has been canceled for next year, but will return in the 9th season as an every-other-year event.
I hope this gives the show the kick it needs to revive its ratings!
The recent visit of singer Mariah Carey to the clinic of an OB gynecologist in Los Angeles has given rise to rumors that she may have finally realized her dream of conceiving a child. Spies said Carey left the clinic holding something which looked like a sonogram—similar to the one held by Minnie Driver after visiting the same doctor. However, it was the cheery greetings of her entourage that further encouraged the pregnancy rumors.
Carey’s marriage to Nick Cannon earlier this year has left her fans intrigued as the wedding was done hush-hush and quickly in the Bahamas. The marriage took place six weeks after 38-year old Carey met the 27-year old Cannon. She however defended her action saying Cannon is her soulmate and that both of them had not doubts that they were meant for each other.
The singer admitted she wants to start a family but refused to comment on the rumors. She said she would rather not talk too much about the issue on pregnancy and was taking a wait and see attitude to that next phase in her life.
Can someone please knock out Paula Abdul so she can’t whine anymore that her dead stalker had cost her American Idol job. Or did it help? Different sources are reporting different reactions from the show’s bosses following Paula’s tantrum. Some say that she is leaving the show after blasting her bosses. Other sources are saying that the show’s producers are taking pity on her and actually offered her a 9th season in addition to the 8th upcoming season in January. A rep for Paul said “She’s finally doing things she always wanted to do, emotionally freeing things. She’s playing tennis four times a week, sky-diving for the first time.” And here I thought we finally got rid of her.
Over 10 years ago, Robbie Williams said goodbye to Take That, the boy band that helped him become famous in the UK, to have a go at a solo career in America. We all know that went nowhere. I doubt that half of you people reading this even know who he is but for the half of you that do care, it seems that Robbie has swallowed his pride and said that he’s open to rejoining the band which is still going strong in the UK. In a recent blog post, Robbie said “I’d love to be in the band again but I’ve got some unfinished business of my own… We got together a lot over the summer. It was amazing. We’ve all matured a lot since we parted.” And it seems that the band is warming up to the idea of having him back too as Gary Barlow told the Sun “I think the time is right for him to come back now.”
Britney Spears is looking mighty fine on the new CD cover for her upcoming and super-catchy single ‘Circus’. The recovered pop princess’ album is expected to hit #1 by selling around 500,000 units in its first week. It’s pretty much set in stone already and we’re only waiting for the official count. ‘Circus’ will be her fifth #1 album. Among female artists, only four have had more #1 albums and they are Barbra Streisand with eight, Madonna with seven and Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson with six each. If Britney doesn’t go on any more crazy stints, she’s bound to best those iconic singers by the time she’s 40.
‘The Office’ star John Krasinski and Grammy award winning artist Aimee Mann performed the Christmas classic ‘Winter Wonderland’ live at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles last weekend as part of the singer’s Third Annual Christmas Show. Who knew that John could sing? I just hope that he does his singing as plain old fun and that he isn’t going to come out with an album of his own. I don’t care how good an actor or actress sings. If you’re good at what you do for a living, then stick with it. I don’t want to have another Scarlett Johansson out in the world of music.
Beyonce and Solange Knowles have canceled their Beyonce and Solange: Hope for the Holidays benefit show, citing “irresolvable scheduling conflicts.”

The concert was supposed to benefit victims of Hurricane Ike and was scheduled for December 9th, to be televised by FUSE.
As of the moment, there’s still no word yet on when or even if the show will be rescheduled, but the record label released a statement saying, “Beyonce and Solange regret the cancellation of their Houston-area holiday concert and urge their fans to support the efforts of The Gulf Coast Ike Relief Fund and the Survivor Foundation.”
