Hana Pestle is a self-proclaimed Twilight fanatic. The nineteen year old singer/songwriter from Billings, Montana believes she has the perfect song for the next movie and has started a movement to get “Need” in the forthcoming New Moon. The hauntingly beautiful track was one of her first compositions written at only fifteen years old in 2004. It was produced /co-written for her album by Ben Moody (co-founder of Evanescence) and Michael “Fish” Herring with string arrangements by David Campbell and piano performance by David Hodges (Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry). Check out the “Need for New Moon” page to learn more about the mission and watch a personal video message from Hana.
Hana’s E.P. is available now and her debut, full-length album is due out in July.
Mel B is trying to expand her brand beyond the Spice Girls. The artist formerly known as Scary Spice will soon be releasing her own fitness video. If her body is anything to go by, I’d say she knows a thing or two about staying fit. Mel’s 3 DVD set of workouts called ‘Totally Fit’ will be available for purchase starting on February 3rd. According to the video description the workout “is definitely not your average workout DVD. Mel’s presentation is fun, inspirational, motivating and presents the secrets to her success to anyone who wants to change both their lives and bodies, including all kinds of lifestyles and fitness levels.” Mel said “For anyone with jubbily bits, I’m going to tighten you up, make you laugh and enjoy your work out no matter what level of fitness you are.”
Rihanna is finally yielding to the conservative Malaysian laws and covering up for her show there in February. According to their rules, female performers must be covered from shoulders to knees. Malaysian tour organizers are trying to avoid the protests and fines that plagued the tours of Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne and the Pussycat Dolls. Gwen made the sacrifice to cover up but the Pussycat Dolls wre fined $3000 for ignoring the laws. A district branch of the opposition Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party says that Rihanna is sexier and more dangerous than the three aforementioned performers.
Aubrey O’Day may be in the Z-list but you got to hand it to her – she knows how to work the media! In a recent interview with MTV, Aubrey opened up about her alleged bi-sexuality and love life. She said “I think it’s funny that so many people care. I mean, half the time, I don’t even know who I’m gonna love or what I’m gonna feel comfortable exposing myself to… I think [the fact] that so many people are wondering along with me definitely puts pressure on my choices! But one thing that I have to say about me that’s really always gonna be true, whether people like it or not, is I’m just gonna be me.”
