I must admit that upon viewing the pictures of Katy Perry wearing a fruit ensemble dress for her performance at the Grammy Awards night on Sunday it made me feel that there is no limit to the number of weird things some artist could take up.
But later on while having seen the entire performance live I thought though it was funny the elements of something cute too could be found. The twenty-four singer sang her song “I Kissed A Girl.”
Just before she entered the stage to open up her performance she told MTV I’m going to be ascending from the ceiling… By banana!”
But that’s what entertainment is all about you keep trying different things to keep the audience standing and foot tapping all through the performance and if you can manage that then babes you done a good job. I enjoyed Katy Perry performance and hopefully so did the others.
“Get On Your Boots” has been directed by French film maker and artist Alex Courtes. Alex and former creative partner Martin Fougeral directed the Grammy winning video for “Vertigo”, and also directed the video for “City of Blinding Lights”.
The video was shot in London and features the band performing against complex graphic art designed by Courtes.
Speaking of the song and the video, The Edge has said, “It’s based around the idea that men have f**ked things up so badly, politically, economically and socially, that it’s really time we handed things over to women. The finished video is brilliant. He’s really nailed it.”
“Get On Your Boots” is the first single from U2’s 12th studio album No Line On The Horizon, out 2nd March 2009.
