Scott MacIntyre hides behind the piano – American Idol

The American Idol contestant who chose Martina McBride’s “Wild Angels” for his performance was criticized by Paula Abdul for staying behind his piano. Simon Cowell however had a comeback for that criticism: “Elton John used to sit behind a piano, nothing wrong with that.” However he did criticize Scott MacIntyre for not making the best song choices. It looks like daddy Cowell’s patience is running a bit thin. But, truth be told, none of the judges were very accepting of Scott MacIntyre’s rendition… especially the vocal part. Still, the man brought his piano on stage too… that’s got to count for something. It’s not just voiced melodrama… it’s voiced melodrama with a piano in the background!
