Gavin Rossdale has recently premiered hi new music video ‘Forever May You Run’. The 43-year old former Bush front man and current husband of Gwen Stefani shot the video back on March 8. His son Kingston, who turns 3 years old next month, makes a very short cameo. He’s so cute! I wonder if Zuma will be making any cameos in any of his or Gwen’s videos. In other Gavin news, he will be on the road performing up until the next month or so. He most recently played at s how at Northern Lights in Clifton Park, New York.

Mel Gibson stole the spotlight from everybody else when he attended the Hollywood premiere of ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ at Grauman’s Chinese Theater on Tuesday night. Just shortly after announcing his split from his wife of 29 years, the actor took his Russian girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva to the screening. The 53-year old actor walked the red carpet with his 39-year old singer girlfriend, who’s said to be on his Icon Records label. She’s the same girl who’s been rumored to be part of the affair which tore apart Mel’s marriage. However, Mel’s rep says that the actor has been “single” for three years and that he’s just enjoying himself now.

British rapping sensation Lady Sovereign and Katy Perry have been recently talked about after a party went down in New York City earlier this month. Rumors go that the two locked themselves in a bathroom to do some pretty naughty things. Lady Sovereign doesn’t do much to help the cause when she talks about seeing more of Katy than what she’d like. She said “I’ve seen parts of Katy Perry I shouldn’t have seen. At one of her after parties she put her pyjamas on and I don’t think she was wearing anything underneath. It was like a long t-shirt kind of thing. The party was out of control. Just a thing in her hotel room, but yeah I saw something I shouldn’t have seen.”

Christina Aguilera may be getting an acting gig soon. And not just any acting gig. The 28-year old singer may even end up as the lead actress in an upcoming big screen movie. Christina is in negotiations to play a modern-day dancer in ‘Burlesque’, a movie written by Steven Antin, the brother of Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin. Her singing persona definitely supports that role. I wonder if they can get Dita Von Teese to appear in the movie too or at least give Christina some tips. In the meantime, Christina’s anticipated and as yet untitled album is due out this Summer/Fall 2009.

Justin Timberlake has finally committed himself–not to a lifetime with girlfriend Jessica Biel but to a lifetime of wearing eye glasses. Justin Timberlake has accepted the fact that he is near sighted and needs the spectacles to see clearly. The singer has been spotted with his eyeglasses in public lately the latest of which was during last Wednesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” talk show.

Justin Timberlake briefly took off his eyeglasses and told the host that he can see him but he can’t see any of the studio audience. He said he has made a commitment to wearing his eyeglasses. Justin Timberlake also clarified the much-talked about smooching session he had with Jessica Biel during last week’s Lakers’ game. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were caught kissing on “Kiss Me Cam” in front of 18,000 people with Sonny and Cher’s “I Got You Babe” on the background. He said he did the public kissing exhibition to upstage Dustin Hoffman and his wife who also openly kissed.

Country music superstar Faith Hill poses as herself and three other iconic blondes in the May 2009 issue of Redbook which hits stands on April 28. She also posed as Grace Kelly, Twiggy and Brigitte Bardot. In the interview, Faith says she sees herself more like the actress turned princess Grace, saying “Grace is probably the one that I relate to the most in my life and the one that I have most in common with. I have this seemingly high-profile life, like Grace did, and we were both the mother of three children. She epitomizes the all-American girl with a quiet class and inner strength. She was like everybody’s girl—seemingly comfortable and accessible—yet untouchable.”

American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi might look fit and just right sitting at her American Idol chair every week but she admitted to an eating disorder history. Kara DioGuardi said she has never spoken about it before and is only going public about her eating disorder now. She said she had the binge eating disorder where she just devoured food as a way of dealing with her emotions.

Kara DioGuardi said her eating disorder was not like the common disorder identified with starving one’s self or forcing one’s self to throw up. What she suffered from was binge eating for which she was treated when she was younger. Kara DioGuardi said the problem came out of not knowing where to put her creative juices beause she was always afraid to perform and join theater groups. However, she was able to learn how to deal with her problem the minute she took advantage of those outlets. She now runs a confidence building program for children at L.A.’s Phoenix House.

MULTI-PLATINUM BAND HIT THE ROAD IN SUPPORT OF NEW ALBUM, 21ST CENTURY BREAKDOWN, TO BE RELEASED WORLDWIDE ON FRIDAY, MAY 15TH, 2009

Reprise Records’ Grammy®Award winning rock band Green Day have announced that they will hit the road for their first proper tour of the United States and Canada in more than three years beginning July 3rd in Seattle, WA. The first leg of the tour will cross North America through the summer and finish up with two shows in Los Angeles on August 26th.
Green Day are touring in support of their long-awaited eighth studio album 21st Century Breakdown, which will be released globally by Reprise Records on Friday, May 15th, 2009. Singer-guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tre Cool have been at work writing, arranging, and recording 21st Century Breakdown since early 2006 with producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins). The first single, “Know Your Enemy” was released to radio and digital retailers on April 16th.
Green Day recently performed 21st Century Breakdown in its entirety during a series of warm-up club shows for hometown fans in the Bay Area. In its review of a show at Oakland’s Fox Theater, Rolling Stone commented that the band, augmented by guitarists Jason White and Jeff Matika, and keyboardist Jason Freese, had the “Quadrophenia-like hang of 21st Century Breakdown’s classic rock melodies and lifetime-punk drive down solid” and that the album is “rock opera in which the rock always comes first.” “21st Century Breakdown is Green Day’s best album,” the reviewer concluded, “and at the Fox, they proved that the rock opera can be as punk as a Clash 45.”
21st Century Breakdown is Green Day’s first studio album since 2004’s two-time Grammy Award-winning punk-rock opera American Idiot, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard chart, spawned five hit singles, and went on to sell more than 12 million copies worldwide.

Madonna’s Injuries are Serious

It seems that the injuries that Madonna suffered following the tumble off a horse in New York City last weekend were more serious than previously thought. According to the Queen of Pop’s manager, Madonna was “barely conscious and had fainted twice, right after the fall and when she was in the ambulance. She only remembers giving the police her name. They never asked her what happened. This could have been a very dangerous situation and we’re just all grateful that she wasn’t hurt more seriously.” However, I doubt the injuries are that serious considering she’s been seen working out earlier this week. I doubt her doctor gave her the all clear to undergo intensive training if her injuries were a big deal.

David Archuleta Makes Successful American Idol Return

With two contestants getting the boot on Wednesday’s elimination show of American Idol, there wasn’t too much time for pleasantries. The judges told each castoff that “this is only the beginning”. As cliché as that line may sound, they got living proof of it in the form of Idol runner up David Archuleta. The young David proved that the journey doesn’t end if you don’t win and that being the so-called frontrunner week after week doesn’t really guarantee that you will win the whole thing. David, as the latest Idol alum to return to the Idol stage, performed ‘Touch My Hand’.

Who Will Get Booted Off American Idol?

After a mediocre night at the movies last week, disco night brought about the creativity of American Idol’s remaining 7 contestants. Most of them dramatically reworked their song choices. Adam Lamberts pain-wracked ballad version of ‘If I Can’t Have You’, Allison Iraheta’s smoldering ‘Hot Stuff’ and Kris Allen’s totally revamped acoustic groove of ‘She Works Hard for the Money’ earned unanimous praise from the judges. Since the judges exercised their one-time save for Matt Giraud last week, who are the two who will go home tonight. Despite his performance of ‘Stayin Alive’, I’m not going to be surprised if Matt is in the bottom 3 again with Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai.

‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star Susan Boyle has been everywhere lately. Her audition video is already all over the internet and she’s already been a guest on so many talk shows. If you don’t know who she is yet, the 47-year old unemployed Scottish sensation lives alone with her cat Pebbles and volunteers at her local church. While everyone has seen her phenomenal audition where she sang ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ from ‘Les Miserables’, Susan will tell you that “it hasn’t sunk in yet.” If I had a voice like hers, I would be proclaiming it to the world just how great I am – with limitations of course. I don’t want to end up being like Kanye and his ego.

Tennis star Andy Roddick proposed to his model fiancé Brooklyn Decker almost a year ago. The couple has been dating since the end of 2007 and they are finally getting married. It’s shaping up to be quite the affair too as it has been confirmed that the wedding singer is none other than iconic pianist Elton John. It turns out that Sir Elton and Andy are charity buddies. Around 2 years ago, Elton performed for Andy’s charity gala and last year, Andy helped raise money for Elton’s AIDS Foundation. It really is a small world after all. I wonder what Elton will sing for Andy and his fiancé.

Rockers Kings of Leon took the latest cover of Rolling Stone and are dubbed by the magazine as “the God-fearing, booze-swilling rise of America’s hottest band.” There’s even a video of the cover shoot featuring brothers Jared, Caleb and Nathan Followill as well as cousin Matthew Followill at the magazine’s website. The band’s front man Caleb commented on the cover saying “It’s one of those things I’m pretty sure will sink in down the road, like, holy s—.” Apart from the video, there are also galleries on the homes of the band members and even some baby photos. They looked so cute!

Through a “tweet” on Twitter.com today, DAVE MATTHEWS BAND have announced that they are giving away their new single, “Funny the Way It Is,” as a free download for one week. Dave (@davejmatthews) and bassist Stefan Lessard (@slessard) are both very active on Twitter, keeping touch with their huge fanbase and decided it was the perfect place to get the word out. The song comes off their upcoming album, Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, which hits stores on June 2nd. It will be the band’s first studio album since the death of saxophonist LeRoi Moore last summer. The “GrooGrux King” in the album title refers to Moore’s nickname within the group. Matthews created all of the artwork for Big Whiskey, including the richly detailed cover illustration that puts a GrooGrux spin on New Orleans’ traditional Mardi Gras parades while evoking the joy and the sorrow expressed in the album’s songs. Matthews has designed logos and other elements in the past, but this is the first time he has created the entire packaging for a Dave Matthews Band album.

Guitarist Tim Reynolds will play on the album, making it his first recording with DMB since 1998’s Before These Crowded Streets. The album was produced by Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Goo Goo Dolls). Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King will also feature the recording debuts of Rashawn Ross who joined the band in 1996 but hadn’t played on any of their studio releases yet and Moore’s replacement, saxophonist Jeff Coffin who also is a member of Béla Fleck and the Flecktones. DMB just released a trailer for the new album which can be seen below.

Dave Matthews Band kicks off its 2009 tour tonight with a show at Madison Square Garden in New York City and will be on the road through October 2nd. Please visit http://www.davematthewsband.com for a full itinerary of the band’s spring and summer tours – and also check the website for the launch of the Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King pre-order later this week. Live Trax 15 captures the group’s August 9th, 2008 show at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, WI, one of the most fan-requested shows for release from last year’s summer tour.

Ashley Tisdale has just released her brand new single “It’s Alright, It’s OK!” The track premiered earlier this morning live with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS FM. Co-written by Swedish production team Twin, the song is a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time.

“I love break-up songs,” Tisdale says. “Everyone can relate to those moments when you need to vent your frustration about a previous relationship. ‘It’s Alright, It’s OK’ is about how you need to stand up for yourself and not let someone walk all over you; it’s a message I wanted to get across to other girls.”

An accompanying video to “It’s Alright, It’s OK” will premiere on MySpace’s on April 21st with feature support from such major online partners as AOL Music and Yahoo! Music, and MTV.com will premiere exclusive “making of the video” footage the week of the single’s release. Tisdale stars in the video with actor Adam Gregory (the CW’s 90210), who plays her ex-boyfriend. The clip was directed by Scott Speer, who has helmed previous videos for Tisdale as well as those from Jordin Sparks and David Archuleta.
