Kylie Minogue has been named woman of the year and entrepreneur of the year at the annual Glamour magazine awards as rumours swirl that she and her beau Andres Velencoso have become engaged.

Looking voluptuous in a little black dress, Minogue, 41, took out two awards at the magazine’s annual Women of the Year event, which was held at London’s Berkeley Square Gardens. Minogue was snapped effortlessly getting out of a black limo in gold strapless high heels.

Scottish TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher drew attention in a transparent weave body-hugging dress that was reported to turn see-thru under the flashlights. Minogue’s dress, meanwhile, featured a serpent-like gold applique.

A friend of Minogue’s was reported saying the pop star was keeping her cool about the engagement rumour, which gained momentum when it was revealed she was about to buy a Spanish villa. “Everyone kept asking her if she was engaged but she was keeping coy,” the friend said.

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole was named TV personality of the year, while Michelle Ryan of EastEnders won UK actress of the year. Katy Perry showed up in a sky blue satin cocktail frock to be named newcomer of the year. She was snapped clowning with Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan.

Others in attendance were Fearne Cotton – named radio personality of the year – Alexa Chung and Rachel Stevens.

While we’re all still left without an official confirmation on whether Adam Lambert is really gay, the American Idol runner up pretty much came out in his own way this past Monday. The singer was partying it up at the Guys and Dolls club in West Hollywood and when he came out, he was holding hands with boyfriend Drake Labry. Witnesses also say that Adam was caught snuggling up to Drake all evening and kept their iron love grip all the way to the car even with loads of paparazzi already surrounding them. I think this is all the confirmation any of us needs.

Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan recently talked to Susan Boyle and wants the public to know that the singer did not have a mental breakdown and was just really tired. The judge told Extra on Monday that “I spoke to Susan yesterday. I don’t think it’s a breakdown. This is somebody who is absolutely exhausted. Emotionally, physically, mentally… Susan will be fine. She’s just very tired. Susan is completely and utterly exhausted. I think she’s found this whole roller coaster ride of the last seven weeks overwhelming… and she’s gone somewhere now that she can find the peace and the quiet to get some sleep, to eat properly and get over what has been an astonishing time in her life.” Get well soon!
