Kelly Clarkson recently accused songwriter Ryan Tedder of reusing aspects of Beyonce’s ‘Halo’ for the original American Idol champ’s new single ‘Already Gone’. The One Republic singer took to his official blog to clear the air, saying “…Alleging that I copied myself or “pulled a fast one” on Kelly Clarkson. This couldn’t be farther from the truth and the whole thing is absurd….however, I need to actually read what the hell is going on, make a call or 2, and be fully informed of it, then I assure you I will have a proper, respectful response. I don’t take allegations of this nature lightly- ESPECIALLY when it’s in regards to artists I respect and admire. Nor do I let things like this go unaddressed. So, give me a minute, and I’ll tell u whatsup and what really happened, or in this case, “didn’t” happen.” Oddly enough, he deleted this message shortly after posting it.

A man accused of sending death threats to hip-hop couple Jay-Z and Beyonce has been ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation by a judge.
Leon Desmond Barrett is alleged to have penned more than a dozen letters between December 2006 and April 2009 that he sent to the celebrity duo, and to other stars.
A letter on 18 August 2007 read: “I’m getting ready to start killing some more people. Beyonce, Jay-Z, Jerome Bettis and Tune-up Man are the first four people I’m getting ready to kill.”
According to police, some of the handwritten notes referred to a reported dispute between Barrett and Bettis’ family, with one stating: “We do not want to have a gunfight with them but if we have to, we will. I guess it (sic) going to be another Virginia Tech. massacre all over again in Detroit.”
Barrett, 37, from Detroit, Michigan was also ordered by U.S. Magistrate Judge R. Steven Whalen not to possess guns or other dangerous weapons and not to communicate with potential victims in the case when he appeared in court in Detroit on Wednesday.
Barrett was charged on Tuesday, following an investigation by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
He is accused of sending the series of threatening letters to the NFL Hall of Fame and to other addresses around the US.
