Michael Jackson’s special administrators want the King of Pop’s estate to cash in on a song that one of the late singer’s brothers performed at the memorial. In documents filed with the court, lawyers for the estate say that they’ve negotiated a very favourable agreement for the estate with Apple Inc., for the promotion, distribution and sale of the audio and audiovisual recordings of Jermaine Jackson’s performance of the song ‘Smile’ at the memorial service. They claim that there is currently “a heightened demand for such products due to Jermaine Jackson’s moving performance during the memorial service, which may diminish over time.”
Mandy Moore is featured on the cover of the September 2009 issue of Lucky magazine which hit stands today. In her interview, the 25-year old singer talked about her fashion sense, her musical inspiration and her fashion inspiration. She talked about her musical inspiration, saying “I have this idea of living in Laurel Canyon in the early ‘70s and Carol King, Joni Mitchell, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, and the Zappos would just sort of hang out and jam with one another. It seems like such an ideal time to be an artist.” She has some pretty good taste in music.
Robbie Williams is set to give the music business another go. The British singer’s new single ‘Bodies’ will be released on October 12th, just a few week before his upcoming album ‘Reality Killed the Video Star’ hits store shelves on November 9th. The album will be the first full-length CD released by Robbie in 3 years. It showcases the production talents of Trevor Horn, the lead singer of 80s band The Buggles, known for their hit ‘Video Killed the Radio Star’. Robbie is confident that his new album is going to be a hit saying “My album’s a killer: old Robbie, new Robbie and a Robbie that neither of us have met.”
