Hilary Duff takes food to kids in Columbia

Hilary Duff, 21, distributed 3000 backpacks containing food to children in a school district south of the capital city of Bogota, Columbia.
Duff took her Blessings In A Backpack program to the country and plans to spend three days there as part of a vaccination campaign.
Bogota Mayor Samuel Moreno met Duff after inviting her to bring the program to Colombia. She said: “We’ve been working for four years feeding children over the weekends. They invited us to come here, and we got our first school in Bogota.”
Duff started Blessings In A Backpack with Stan Curtis of USA Harvest to provide children with backpacks of food every Friday to take home and share with their families. The program targets children whose most nutritional meal is obtained at school and serves 106 schools and 26,000 children in the US and Canada.
Duff is currently filming for six episodes of Gossip Girls.
