Michael Jackson memorabilia deal gets OK

In the tangle of litigation under way over Michael Jackson, lawyers have managed to reach agreement on the star’s memorabilia.
Jackson’s mother, Katherine, and executors for the state agreed on a deal with merchandiser Bravado to put official Jackson memorabilia in stores by October. The items include cell phone accessories, clothing and trading cards.
But the parties did not yet agree on a memorabilia tour to be staged by tour promoter AEG Live. The promoter, which sponsored the 50-date UK Jackson concert series that never took place, has slated a memorabilia tour to coincide with the release of a Jackson movie.
Burt Levitch, one of Katherine’s attorneys, said her objections were over concerns about her son’s legacy as well as how the proceeds would shake out with AEG.
