Simon Cowell is being sued by a wannabe chef, who claims that the TV judge has failed to return her trainers and $500-orthopaedic insoles.

The woman claims that she left her pricey footwear at the acid-tongued Brit’s LA home, after a “try-out” to be his personal chef.

She says that she made repeated attempts to get the trainers and insoles back after the interview, and also claims that the assistant of Cowell’s ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour called her back to the house after finding a pair of trainers, but they were not hers.

The woman is now seeking $661.59 compensation from Cowell and Seymour to cover the cost of the shoes and insoles, plus the $9 in fuel that she claims she wasted making an extra trip to the house.

A rep for Cowell and Seymour said that the trainers the couple later tried to return to the chef did belong to her and added: “This is a ridiculous story.”

Mariah Carey’s album ‘Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel’ has already been pushed back twice. After the first single ‘Obsessed’ proved to be a disappointment, the curvaceous singer and her record label are now releasing a cover as her second single. Unfortunately, Mariah’s version of Foreigner’s ‘I Wanna Know What Love Is’ is mediocre at best. It’s uninspired and too much like the original to make a splash. If anything, the cover will be a hit on Adult Contemporary radio stations but I doubt if it will become a massive crossover radio hit. I think Mariah has lost touch of who she is regarding her music.

Lady Gaga has reportedly collaborated with Michael Bolton. The new princess of pop has apparently written a couple of songs for Michael’s new album ‘One World One Love’. If that’s not enough of a surprising bit for you, Michael has also revealed that it was Lady Gaga who approached him for the collaboration. The singer said “I was taking a break from production when my manager and the label tag-teamed me on the phone about writing with a young artist named Lady Gaga who I had never heard of – but they were raving about – they said that she was a huge fan of mine and wanted to write with me. When I met her in the studio later that night, I realised she was not only about to have a big hit record but Gaga was a superstar about to launch – her energy was so high and her focus excited me. She reminded me of a young Madonna – with more exuberance and emphasis on the art rather than the marketing.”
