Taylor Swift
Country singer Taylor Swift has spoken about Kanye West’s interruption of her VMA acceptance speech.

The 19-year-old won the award for Best Female Video but was interrupted when Kanye West joined her on stage and said that he believed Beyonce should have won.

Talking about the incident backstage, she said: “It has been a crazy night, hasn’t it? Well, you know, I was up there and I was standing there and I saw Kanye up on the stage.

“I was excited… and I kind of wasn’t excited any more.”

Taylor then got her moment to give her speech when Beyonce won Video of the Year and gave Taylor her stage time.

Talking about Beyonce’s gesture, Taylor said: “You know, they told me to be ready just in case she might want to say something.

“It was just so wonderful and so incredibly classy of her and just gracious and wonderful to let me say something. She’s just been my hero and one of my idols ever since I was little. She’s a great person.”

Actor Johnny Depp popped up at an Orange County expo and annouced he would appear in a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Depp was welcomed by 5,000 fans.

He wore a costume befitting of Jack Sparrow, his famed screen character.

The fourth instalment of the wildly popular movie series is to be titled, intriguingly, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Walt Disney executives had mounted a presentation about the movie at Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim.

Depp’s previous three “Pirates” flicks have earned about $1 billion at the US box office.

Despite the lack of ticket sales, Mariah Carey’s Las Vegas show at the Palms Casino Resort, which opened last Friday, still went down. The singer was even photographed rehearsing hard. It’s being said, that before the opening, tickets are still highly available for the concert which has a limited run. The ticket prices were at $129, $179 and $254. I guess a lot of people that seeing the show of what could very well be a has-been just isn’t worth that much. Maybe that’s

Janet Jackson has broken her silence about the death of her late brother Michael Jackson in the October 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar which will hit stands on September 22. The 43-year old singer opened up about what she would like the world to know about the King of Pop, saying “He loved to laugh. The last time we were together, he’d laugh so hard, he would just start crying. Sometimes his humor would be corny, sometimes dry. He loved the ‘Three Stooges’, he loved slapstick, he loved Eddie Murphy in his silly comedies. He loved to have fun. He loved to play… He’s just got so much love, and so much heart, and so much power through his music. Children and his love for children. People have told me, ‘I am an American citizen because of your brother.’”
