Another Michael Jackson Lawsuit

Richard Lapointe, the guy who claims to have placed the highest bid on 170 items in Michael Jackson’s defunct auction, is suing the late singer’s estate. Julien’s Auction House, who Lapointe is also suing, had planned a massive auction of the King of Pop’s possessions but it was cancelled due to Michael and the company’s continual disagreements. The lawsuit claims that the plaintiff was the only bidder on 82 items and “may have been the highest bidder on not less than 88 additional items.” Apart from asking for $5 million for the letdown, Lapointe also claims that he is entitled to millions of dollars because it’s the “true market value of the items.”
