In an attempt to diffuse his alleged same sex kiss at a Palm Springs gay bar last month, John Mayer talks about his love of dance-friendly establishments. The singer said “If you are a man in life and you haven’t gone to a gay bar, you haven’t really danced… you can actually have a great time without worrying in this sort of alpha-dog defensive position of like, who’s over here, who’s gonna try and come up, and who’s gonna talk shit, and who’s gonna do this and do that. You can actually just go and have a great time. We did have such a great time, to hear that somebody had written a story that I was getting kisses planted on me, it just sort of reduces it to that real stereotypical.”
In a rare public appearance together, Cheryl Cole and her husband Ashley ventured out for a night out in London but ended up fighting. After the singer’s performance at the Children in Need concert, the couple went to the Mayfair Hotel along with Girls Aloud band mate Nicola Roberts and her boyfriend. A source said “They were all sat around the table having a really good time. They were drinking and appeared really relaxed as they laughed and joked.” It didn’t last long though. Since Ashley’s infidelity two years ago, they haven’t been the same. A friend said “They still have the occasional moment of fun but they both know, particularly Cheryl, that this isn’t going to be forever. The pattern of their relationship seems to be that she achieves something and she spends the next three or four days massaging his ego and building him up again. Supporting Cheryl doesn’t sit well with Ashley’s need to be alpha male.”
