Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines is one lucky gal! The defamation lawsuit filed against her by Terry Hobbs has been dismissed! In a letter on her website, the country singer accused Hobbs of being involved in the death of his son and two other 8-year old boys that took place in Arkansas 15 years ago. Three teenagers were convicted of the deaths but many still believe that they are innocent. US District Judge Brian Miller threw the case out because Hobbs could not prove “actual malice” as she did not believe the statements to be false nor did she make them with “reckless disregard” for the truth.
