Taylor Swift Does Good
Taylor Swift has a lot to celebrate this past year but this past weekend, she had a little get together to commemorate something big. The country singer has turned 20 years old! In honor of the big day, Taylor spent time with her friends and band and gave a huge gift to someone other than herself. Everyone’s favorite country belle donated $250,000 to schools that she’s either attended or worked with over the years. The money is allotted to pay teachers’ salaries as well as buy books and fund various educational programs. Taylor said “Something I wanted to do at the end of this amazing year and especially on my birthday was give back to something I really believe in, which is education. The schools that I went to and the amazing people I got to learn from really turned me into who I am, and I wanted to give back.”
