Axl Rose Honors Legends
[?]
Not only did Guns N Roses dedicate their Toronto show last week to the ‘Catcher in the Rye’ author JD Salinger, but their lead singer also paid homage to another legendary rock band, before even getting the show started. That night, the audience ended up waiting an extra two hours for the show to begin. When the band finally hit the stage, Axl Rose was being wheeled out in a wheelchair, looking awful. But before the audience even had any time to get concerned about the rock star, Axl leapt from the chair and went into the title track off the band’s new album. Kurt Kobain of Nirvana pulled a similar stunt back in 1992 at Britain’s Reading Festival.
