Chord Overstreet Talks Leaving Glee

Chord Overstreet recently had an interview with TVLine regarding his departure from the hit TV show “Glee”. The singer/actor said “Of course I was bummed initially. I had the best time working on the show and I had one of the best life experiences. It was a blast. But I decided to look at it as an opportunity to dive into my music.” Chord also said that he will keep on watching the show, saying “I don’t think I could ever stop watching it.” I can’t either! And seeing his tweets with his former cast mates on Twitter, it just shows how much love he has for them that it’s a no-brainer that he’ll keep on supporting the show.

Mila Kunis to Justin Timberlake’s Defense

During a press conference in Moscow for their movie “Friends with Benefits”, a reporter bravely asked Justin Timberlake “Why movies?” Obviously, the reporter wanted to know why the entertainer decided to turn his back on his glorious music career for a film career. However, Justin never got to answer the question. To be fair, he was waiting for it to be translated but before it happened, co-star Mila Kunis quickly came to his defense and smacked the poor reporter down. And it was all in Russian! I almost forgot that the actress isn’t actually American. And just so you know, Mila basically said “Why movies? Why not?” and continued to go at the reporter who tried to infer that Hollywood is a mindless industry.

Cory Monteith Plays Free Concert with Bonnie Dune

Cory Monteith rocks out with his band, Bonnie Dune, at the grand opening of Pinkbery in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada last week. Mind you, this is Canada’s first Pinkberry story. The 29-year old “Glee” actor/singer and his band mates performed a six-song set at the free concert and greeted fans after the show. The day before the opening, Cory took to his Twitter and said “Vancouver! having the time of my life chillin with @bonnie_dune and gearing up for a fun show.” Well, now I know what Cory will be up to once he does leave “Glee”, but we all know he’ll still be part of the show after he graduates at the end of season 3.

Chord Overstreet Not Returning to Glee

Chord Overstreet’s fate on the hit TV show “Glee” was revealed by executive producer Brad Falchuk at the 2011 Comic-Con for the show’s panel. While the singer/actor was offered a recurring guest starring role on the third season of the show, Brad said that Chord “decided he would have opportunities elsewhere that he would like to pursue, and we can’t force him to work. We told him to go with god.” Chord recently hinted on his Twitter account that he is working on his debut album. While I’m sad that I won’t be seeing his face on the show anymore, I can’t wait to hear this album of his.

Beyonce made this announcement in the “Good Morning America” show where she declared that it is an honor for her to get the main role in a movie directed by Clint Eastwood. “Clint Eastwood? Can you believe it? I still can’t believe it myself. When I met him I was so overwhelmed. I am so honored that he trusts me. And I can’t wait to make this movie with him” – the artist confessed. Besides, her partner on the screen will be Leonardo DiCaprio, with whom Eastwood had already worked on “J. Edgar”. DiCaprio will play the role of a decadent rock star.

Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf has stepped behind the camera to direct and edit the video for Kid Cudi’s controversial new tune Marijuana. The 24-year-old Transformers actor helped to direct the clip which sees Cudi and his pals smoking pot. The rapper has wanted to work with Shia for a while, previously saying: “I feel like I am doing the Shia LaBeouf in music.” The song is off the upcoming album that the Day ‘n’ Nite hitmaker will be releasing with his new band, 2 Be Continuum.

Gwyneth Paltrow Pulls Out of Performing with Matthew Morrison

Although Gwyneth Paltrow was rumored to open some of Matthew Morrison’s upcoming solo shows, the actress has reportedly pulled out of the gig, claiming that it would be bad for her image. A source said “Gwyneth thought it would be bad for her image to go off on a US tour. She pulled out and Matthew has cancelled a number of his gigs. But he is still planning to come to London in June and they have plans to go out to dinner. She’s not ruling out performing with him in the future.” I didn’t realize performing a few songs would tarnish her reputation. Whatever. Matthew gets to tour with NKOTBSB so I’m sure he’ll get over it really fast.

Jeff Bridges to release debut album

Actor Jeff Bridges has signed a recording deal to release his debut album in the summer, Blue Note Records have said. The 61-year-old, who won an Oscar last year for playing a washed-up country legend in Crazy Heart, will record the album with his long-time friend, songwriter and producer T-Bone Burnett. Guest vocalists on the record will include Burnett’s ex-wife Sam Phillips and Rosanne Cash.

Actor Johnny Depp has admitted to being stricken with Bieber Fever — luckily Justin Bieber made a surprise appearance at his press conference for new film Rango. Johnny, 47, joined his Rango co-stars Isla Fisher and Abigail Breslin at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills on Saturday for a press junket for their new animated flick. And even teen pop star Justin, 16, who was staying at the same hotel, helped to promote the movie when he strolled in to the delight and shock of the audience. The Canadian heartthrob told Depp: “I’m a big fan of you so I want to support you. “I just wanted to say hi.” According to ETonline, Justin added: “[Depp] is a Belieber, and I’m a big fan of his.” After the incident, the Pirates of the Caribbean star told the crowd: “Who is not a Belieber now?”

Brad Pitt to play John Lennon in new biopic?

Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt is reportedly in talks to play John Lennon in a new film biopic. The 47-year-old is said to be discussing the possibility of portraying the late Beatles star, who was shot dead by Mark Chapman in 1980 aged 40, in a new movie about his life. Pitt is meant to be a big fan of Lennon’s music and is allegedly planning to produce the film as well as act in it. And Brad has also apparently won over John’s widow Yoko Ono. An insider told British newspaper The Daily Express: “Brad already has a writer working on the script. And Yoko has given the project her blessing so long as it’s true to John’s life. “Brad wants to do all the singing himself and plans to take voice lessons. If he can’t pull it off they’ll use John’s own voice.” The source added: “Brad has also been immersing himself in videos and books so he can get Lennon’s mannerisms down pat.”

Michael Sheen to star in Manic Street Preachers video

British actor Michael Sheen is set to make an appearance in the Manic Street Preachers’ new music video.

The Damned United star, who won critical acclaim for his portrayal of Tony Blair in 2006 movie The Queen, will be playing the part of Russian chess player Garry Kasparov in the band’s new single (It’s Not War) Just The End Of Love.

The band’s bassist Nicky Wire revealed the surprising news to UK music magazine NME.

He said: “It looks like Michael Sheen is gonna be in the video. We’ve tried to recreate the classic ’70s chess match between Kasparov and [Bobby] Fischer.”

He added: “That’s the kind of vibe behind it. It’s real ’70s Russia – just that idea of ‘It’s not war, just the end of love’, I think a chess game really fits it.”

The 23-year-old actress, who plays vampire Alice Cullen in the movie series, was recently seen enjoying dinner with Jonas, 20, at a posh London restaurant.

A source said to UK newspaper News of the World: “They had a very romantic night at The Ivy. They arrived separately and then left by the back door, where there were two vans with blacked-out windows waiting to whisk them away.

“They looked like a lovely couple. They had a few drinks and were clearly enjoying not being hounded like they would have been in Los Angeles.”

The 35-year old actor talked about a couple of things including how a woman can impress a man in 30 seconds, qualities needed for a long-term relationship, how to revive a bad date and his secret talent. Would you believe that Ryan can rap? He said “I rap really well. I can sound like Lil Wayne or Ludacris. I’m dead serious…I can spit!” I’d like to see, or rather hear, that one. I wonder if we can get Ryan and Ludacris in a rap battle.
