Trouble for Akon
It seems that trouble follows Akon wherever he goes. The singer’s free concert at a shopping mall in Copenhagen, Denmark on Wednesday erupted into a riot. His Danish fans got all violent when police tried to evacuate the venue due to a fire alarm alert just three songs into Akon’s set. Violence escalated outside when concertgoers started throwing rocks and bottles at the cops. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
Add to that, trouble was already brewing even before the riot. The capacity at the venue was only 1,000. However, 3,000 people showed up. Good thing a stampede didn’t occur.
star Akon has shifted the blame for his raunchy dance with an underage girl on stage onto her parents. The Smack That hit maker sparked controversy when he dirty danced with 14-year-old Danah Alleyne at a Trinidad gig in May, prompting the Caribbean country’s Prime Minister to order a formal investigation into the incident. Firstly who did girl get to the club, what were her parents doing when they knew she was not with them and then how could she possibly get through the doors of an over 18 club. There are big men standing at the entrance and she could not have done anything to escape their eyes. And then look at Akon he just kept dancing with that girl, obviously the girl would have been pleased at having a chance to dance with a star singer but he could have acted more resposibily and told the staff at the club to take her out of the place. What he now says is if the girl was there dancing then why should have changed his fashion of dance see her. No morality you see, it’s all about fun no matter who the person opposite to you is?
