First Madonna Producer Revealed

It’s only been recently announced that Madonna is back in the studio and working on her twelfth studio album but the Queen of Pop is not wasting any time in determining how to reinvent her sound. Sources close to the singer have revealed that she’s enlisted the help of French DJ and producer Martin Solveig to help her on her new tracks. I love his stuff with Dragonette and I have a feeling that Madonna is looking to get back to that house/dance feel that she perfected with “Confessions on a Dancefloor”. I can already tell that this is going to be epic.

Beyonce Performs Album Launch in London

A normal person would have probably needed a week to recover from Glastonbury but Beyonce seems to be having such a great time in the UK that she wanted to share her joy for the release of her new album “4” just a day after the music festival. The R&B singer threw an album launch concert at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire venue and put on a high-energy show with mad vocals and lots of audience interaction. I wouldn’t be surprised if Beyonce goes on tour in support of her latest album and does an extensive list of dates across Europe.

Madonna is going to release a new one after all

Even though she is soon to make her directorial debut with her “W.E.” movie, it looks like Madonna has not forgotten that she does still have a singing career after all. The good news came from the singer’s manager, Guy Oseary, who wrote the following on twitter regarding a new release from Madonna: “Madonna goes into the recording studio next month to begin work on new album…there is nothing to report in regards to tour.. you guys know how this works… first comes the album and next comes the……..she has a good idea on which producers she will be working with…lots of questions about what kind of music it will be… stay tuned…” Well this is certainly good news for all of Madonna’s fans. They don’t need to worry about her completely turning to the movie industry just yet.

So she has revealed the producer who will be responsible for her new album: Robert John Lange. Lady GaGa has made a very interesting choice since Robert John Lange is not only a very experienced man, but he is also the producer behind Shania Twain’s “Come on Over” which is apparently the best selling album by a female artist in recorded history. This is all just so Lady GaGa’s fans have something more to look forward to.

The 29-year old pop singer’s album “Femme Fatale” will be released the day of the performance. In a video message, Britney said “Good morning, America. I’m excited to tell you on Tuesday morning, March 29, I’ll be performing for the first time ever in a special concert in San Francisco’s historic Castro district on Good Morning America. And I promise you it’ll be a morning to remember. See you soon!” Will you be tuning in?

This has given fans of the rapper an early opportunity to hear one of the most anticipated tracks on the CD – her collaboration with Barbadian R&B singer Rihanna called “Fly”. Despite the leak, I have to say that it could do her some good because she has some great music on there. Nicki and Rihanna’s duet carries a great message. Nicki’s album will officially hit stores on November 22 and I think the leak will actually help boost up sales. Keep your chin up Nicki!

Katy Perry has revealed the cover art for her soon-to-be released album ‘Teenage Dream’. It features the 25-year old singer lying down on a cloud of cotton candy, as if she was wearing nothing. New York based artist Will Cotton created the cover. The pop star originally contacted Will to ask about buying one of his paintings but he ended up becoming much more involved. Katy said “The day I found Will Cotton, I knew I wanted to live in his cinematic cotton candy world. A fantastically art-directed music video and one piece of timeless album artwork later, I can proudly say I am more than a fan. Will has been a sweetheart every step of the way and always open to collaborative ideas. I’m so happy to have discovered his candy-land, and so excited about our creative future together.”

Oh dear lord. I can’t believe someone actually decided to give this wannabe singer a chance to record an album and taint the music industry even more. Not just that, the Countess also reveals that she’s interested in doing some modeling saying “I would love, of course, to be the new face of Arden. Just putting it out there, just in case.”

Good Charlotte star Joel Madden has said his two kids have inspired his new album.

The 31-year-old has two children – daughter Harlow, two, and son Sparrow, six months – with fiancee, Nicole Richie.

He recently finished his latest album with brother Benji for their band Good Charlotte.

Talking about the album, he said to Hollyscoop: “There’s a Harlow song – it’s one I wrote for Harlow and Sparrow, and it’s a really personal song for me.

“When you hear truth in a song, it’s always nice. I think people are going to enjoy that.”

Christina Aguilera put a countdown on her website last week and it wound down on Tuesday revealing that ‘Not Myself Tonight’ is the name of the first single off of her new album ‘Bionic’, her first album of new music in four years. The 29-year old singer also revealed the artwork to the single, a sexy black and white photo of herself with drawn on devil ears and a tail. The countdown timer started after that and lyrics to the song were revealed on Wednesday. The countdown is back on again today. Maybe we can get to hear a snippet of the song later in the day.

New JLo Album

Jennifer Lopez may have parted ways with Sony Music Epic Records but the singer has already found a new label to work with. In a statement released to one of her fan sites, JLo said “I know my fans have been wondering what’s been going on with my album. I have been in the process of a transition and now I am happy that all the issues have been resolved and I have found a new home. I have fulfilled my contractual obligations to Sony/Epic and felt it was time to move on. It was an amicable split not as the media will paint it out to be. I have been with Sony for many years and we achieved great success together. During this period I never stopped the creative process and my album ‘Love?’ will still be released in the summer of 2010 as planned.”

So it’s off to the recording studio with Rihanna once more to work on an album that will apparently get released somewhere this Summer. Rihanna assures her fans that this time the music will be less heavy and more fun and cheerful. It looks like Rihanna got tired of playing artist pretty quickly and is going back to making music for the industry. Well, she has to make a living out of something!

Good Charlotte wipe latest offering Cardiology

Good Charlotte have gone back to the drawing board on their latest album.

Benji Madden said the decision was tough to scrap the band’s new album. But when he and his brother Joel returned from Australia, they were not happy with the final product.

Madden on the band’s website explains, “When we got back from the last trip to Australia, we had pretty much finished recording the record. I went into the studio to hear some roughs and it just wasn’t right. I couldn’t figure it out. I was so lost. I love the songs, I love the lyrics, so what was the problem. I was just so bewildered. Devastated actually. This had never happened. I felt crazy. Like this. I told our manager to just PAUSE everything and I need time to think. I called all the boys immediately and called an emergency meeting. Everyone sat down. And I just said ‘Guys, we gotta start over’.”

The album was to be titled Cardiology. Madden added: “I was expecting everyone to freak on me and say ‘What?!’ But Billy (Martin) was the first to speak, and right away he said ‘I knew you were gonna say that. My gut is telling me the same thing. Let’s do it.’ Everyone agreed.”
