First Madonna Producer Revealed

It’s only been recently announced that Madonna is back in the studio and working on her twelfth studio album but the Queen of Pop is not wasting any time in determining how to reinvent her sound. Sources close to the singer have revealed that she’s enlisted the help of French DJ and producer Martin Solveig to help her on her new tracks. I love his stuff with Dragonette and I have a feeling that Madonna is looking to get back to that house/dance feel that she perfected with “Confessions on a Dancefloor”. I can already tell that this is going to be epic.

Even though she is soon to make her directorial debut with her “W.E.” movie, it looks like Madonna has not forgotten that she does still have a singing career after all. The good news came from the singer’s manager, Guy Oseary, who wrote the following on twitter regarding a new release from Madonna: “Madonna goes into the recording studio next month to begin work on new album…there is nothing to report in regards to tour.. you guys know how this works… first comes the album and next comes the……..she has a good idea on which producers she will be working with…lots of questions about what kind of music it will be… stay tuned…” Well this is certainly good news for all of Madonna’s fans. They don’t need to worry about her completely turning to the movie industry just yet.

So she has revealed the producer who will be responsible for her new album: Robert John Lange. Lady GaGa has made a very interesting choice since Robert John Lange is not only a very experienced man, but he is also the producer behind Shania Twain’s “Come on Over” which is apparently the best selling album by a female artist in recorded history. This is all just so Lady GaGa’s fans have something more to look forward to.

The 29-year old pop singer’s album “Femme Fatale” will be released the day of the performance. In a video message, Britney said “Good morning, America. I’m excited to tell you on Tuesday morning, March 29, I’ll be performing for the first time ever in a special concert in San Francisco’s historic Castro district on Good Morning America. This is what he said about his work with Jennifer Lopez: “Musically, I’m trying to combine all the elements that makes her who she is. We connected, and it was easy to work together. She’s in another headspace. She’s very positive and content. She knows what she wants to do.” Well, well, in this case Jennifer Lopez’s next album might just turn out to be a bigger hit than expected. This has given fans of the rapper an early opportunity to hear one of the most anticipated tracks on the CD – her collaboration with Barbadian R&B singer Rihanna called “Fly”. Despite the leak, I have to say that it could do her some good because she has some great music on there. Nicki and Rihanna’s duet carries a great message. Elton John is a legend in the pop music community, so when the singer admitted that he won’t be doing any more pop albums in his career, things got a little depressing for me. Elton explains “I’m always listening to new music. I really love electronic and dance stuff, like Royksopp and Robyn. But I could never do stuff like that because I’m 63 and too old. If I ever tried I wouldn’t be true to myself…I might collaborate with Lady Gaga or the Scissor Sisters on a single, but I’m not going to make pop albums anymore.” He says that he will focus solely on doing blues music from now on.

Katy Perry has revealed the cover art for her soon-to-be released album ‘Teenage Dream’. It features the 25-year old singer lying down on a cloud of cotton candy, as if she was wearing nothing. New York based artist Will Cotton created the cover. The pop star originally contacted Will to ask about buying one of his paintings but he ended up becoming much more involved. Katy said “The day I found Will Cotton, I knew I wanted to live in his cinematic cotton candy world. A fantastically art-directed music video and one piece of timeless album artwork later, I can proudly say I am more than a fan. Will has been a sweetheart every step of the way and always open to collaborative ideas. I’m so happy to have discovered his candy-land, and so excited about our creative future together.”

Actor Tim Robbins records Mid-life Crisis album

The Shawshank Redemption star Tim Robbins is writing an album of songs based on his mid-life crisis.

The Oscar-winning actor, 51, revealed that he had a mid-life crisis two years ago, shortly before he split with his partner of 23 years, actress Susan Sarandon.

He told BBC Radio Four’s Desert Island Discs: “I asked myself the question, ‘What is it that will make you happy? What is it you have not done that you will regret not doing?’”

He added: “A mid-life crisis – I think we all go through something, it’s inevitable, it’s unavoidable. You’re staring some kind of frightening thing down. It’s when you pass 40…

“At 40, you can imagine 80. You start thinking about how many years you’ve got left, and you start thinking, ‘What the hell am I doing here?’”

Robbins is now writing an album of songs about that period of his life and said that he spent some time thinking about what he should call it.

He said: “I was thinking about calling it The Mid-Life Crisis Album, but then I thought that’s not going to sell any copies.

“Then I thought: ‘How about songs of Love and Misery?’”

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Countess LuAnn de Lesseps of ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ sub-par fame has revealed that she has signed with Ultra Records and is working on a new track called ‘Chic, C’est La Vie’. Oh dear lord. I can’t believe someone actually decided to give this wannabe singer a chance to record an album and taint the music industry even more. Not just that, the Countess also reveals that she’s interested in doing some modeling saying “I would love, of course, to be the new face of Arden. Just putting it out there, just in case.”

New Wino Album This Year

Amy Winehouse’s third album could be coming out as early as December this year. At least that’s according to the British train wreck of a singer’s father Mitch Winehouse. He said “For sure. I think we’ll be talking about December, January – that kind of time.” Mitch also said that Wino is doing “absolutely fantastic. Her new guy is terrific.” Here’s to hoping that she stays right on track. I’m actually dying to hear new music from her so I really hope that she does get her album out by December. I have to admit that despite her many personal faults, there’s no denying that she’s an amazing talent.

This is what Jay-Z said about his new album: “One of the reasons I wanted to make ‘Blueprint 3′ was because of the challenge. We’ve seen people like LL Cool J have longevity, and we respect the heritage of what he’s done, but it’s not like, right now, he’s competing on the same level as Lil Wayne. So for me to still be able to compete at that level at my age, that’s rarefied air. It’s never been done.” Jay-Z seems a bit cocky about his new piece… perhaps he might want to wait to see how it does first. No, wait, it’s got “Jay-Z” written all over it… it will do well just because of the front cover.
