Avril Lavigne recently premiered the music video for her song “Wish You Were Here” via VEVO. The track is the latest, and likely last, single from the pop/rock singer’s album “Goodbye Lullaby”. The song is my absolute favorite from her album. It’s such a radio-friendly ballad and I hope it does well. As for the visual, it’s simple but truly intense. Avril sings looking straight into the camera, letting all her emotions out as the lyrics progress. She even displays some great acting skills as she cries. Avril took to her Twitter and said very clearly that “and the tears are real… no onions!!”

Avril Lavigne’s strange tattoo placement

The singer recently almost made a bit of a boo-boo by showing off her most prized tattoo, the matching one she has with Brody Jenner that is located on her ribcage. In doing this, Avril Lavigne also revealed her breasts to the audience of London’s West End Apollo Cinema. This is what Avril Lavigne supposedly said when revealing it: “What’s been the most what the hell moment? Probably the fuck tattoo on my ribcage…. Do you want to see it? Wait, is it that small you really can’t see it? Or wait, is that the other one? No, it was the right one.” Even though the fans probably had some serious fun out of it, Avril Lavigne might want to be aware that such a tattoo maybe just isn’t meant to be seen by everybody.

Rihanna Wanted to Collaborate with Avril Lavigne

Anyone who has listened to the amazing track “Cheers (Drink to That)” on Rihanna’s latest album “Loud” has probably noticed that the song samples heavily from Avril Lavigne’s hit song “I’m With You’. According to the 22-year old Barbadian R&B singer, she had hoped that she and the Canadian pop rock star could have gotten into the studio together to re-record the original vocals. Rihanna said “I asked whether she could appear, but when I heard the track it was already embedded in the music, so the producers already had it that way. But it would have sounded the same. I’m just glad that we could use her sample, because it became such a huge part of the instrumental that if it were not in the song, it would change the whole vibe of it. ‘Cheers’ is one of my favorite songs. It makes you feel like celebrating. It gives you a great feeling inside like you want to go out and have a drink. People can’t wait for the weekend.” Maybe Avril can pop in for the music video.

UPDATE: Brody Jenner not doing reality show with Avril Lavigne

Reality star Brody Jenner and singer Avril Lavigne will not be getting their own reality show, according to reports.

The Hills star, 26, and Lavigne were rumoured to be starring in their own reality programme.

Brody was said to be begging the Complicated singer, 25, to star in the show with him, which would showcase their relationship.

But Jenner’s agent told GossipCop.com that the star is definitely not working on any reality shows.

Lavigne and Jenner started dating earlier this year.

Are Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley giving their relationship another go? The 25-year old Canadian pop rock singer and her Sum 41 front man of an ex were spotted together at the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ premiere after party in London. Avril and Deryck even left together in a waiting car but kept their distance once inside. The former couple announced their separation in September of 2009 with Avril posting a blog on her MySpace after the announcement which read “I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship.” While it looks like they were getting more than friendly again, Avril’s rep tells ET Canada that she and Deryck are just friends.

Avril Lavigne and Ex Can’t Work Together

Avril Lavigne keeps pushing back the release for her next album from last November to early 2010 and it’s more likely to be mid 2010 because the pop punk singer’s ex-husband Deryck Whibley is producing the thing and they can’t seem to work together amicably. A music agent close to the former couple said “The first eight songs, Avril and Deryck worked with a lot of love and it came easy. But there’s three or four more to do and they just ain’t feeling it. It’ll be a terrific album if they can put this aside for a month or so and concentrate on what matters — the music.” Well they are going through a divorce. Apparently, things are getting ugly in court with the Sum 41 front man demanding spousal support from Avril who has a sizable amount of cash from her music and fashion line. Under California law, the money needs to be divided fairly with her ex.

Wannabe rock star Avril Lavigne has reportedly been hosting a plethora of flings despite still being married to Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley. In December, Avril was spotted hanging out with Brandon Davis and then seen with her hubby. It’s exactly the type of move you do when you need to reassure people that you’re marriage is not on the rocks. Until you get seen with someone else, of course. According to Star magazine, the Canadian singer has been partying all around LA hot spots where she was caught making out with pineapple billionaire Justin Murdock. Someone needs to file for divorce before things get messy.

Avril Gets Honored

I guess someone still likes Avril Lavigne as she was recently awarded with the Certificate of Honor from the China Association of Social Workers recently. The 24-year old Canadian singer had helped to raise funds for poor families and children with disabilities in China during her Best Damn Tour. She even presented gifts to children from China’s earthquake stricken Sichuan province. Avril also performed her last stop on her world tour at Beijing’s Wukesong Indoor Stadium. I guess even the biggest of douche bags can still do good things. Kudos go out to Avril! If anything, she can quit the singing and go for the humanitarian route if she wants to gain more fans.

Avril Concert or Bust

Last Thursday, Avril Lavigne partied the night away with her Sum 41 front man of a husband Deryck Whibley during one of the band’s after parties. But come Saturday night, I’m sure Avril was looking for a stiff drink to drive the blues away. If you recall, tickets for her concert in Buffalo, New York went on a major sale. But even though that was the case, the arena still turned out to be more empty than full. It’s really a sad situation that could break some hearts. But considering that this happened to Avril, it really just makes me want to laugh.

Avril Lavinge Crappy Reviews

Avril Lavinge is still soldiering on with her tour and the less than pleasant reviews keep pouring in as she goes. Globe and Mail from her native home of Canada summed it up with the title to their review saying â€œSheâ€™s like, so whatever.â€ The reviewer goes on to talk about how Avrilâ€™s original skateboard chick image pretty much disappeared except for a few splashes of the skull and crossbones imagery on the stage and how the show was more production-reliant than anything. Hereâ€™s the worst part of the review â€œnone of it can make up for the worst damn truth about Avril Lavigne: sheâ€™s not a very good singer.â€

Avrilâ€™s Shopping Spree

Canadian singer Celine Dion has enough money and taste that she can go on a shopping spree in New York stopping by the swankiest stores like Chanel and Chopard. But when it comes to Avril Lavigne, we canâ€™t argue that she doesnâ€™t have any money but I can argue that she doesnâ€™t have much class.

The pop punk poser couple Avril and hubby Deryck Whibley were seen shopping in LA on Thursday but they were nowhere near Rodeo Drive. Instead, they shopped at the 99 Cent store. Avril must really be saving up and pinching pennies because she knows money for her concert ticket sales isnâ€™t coming in.

Stars at World Music Awards – Rihanna, Avril Lavigne, Ciara – Monte Carlo

The 2007 World Music Awards which was held at the Monte Carlo Sporting Club in Monte Carlo, Monaco on Sunday was truly a star-studded event. Even the Prince of Monaco was there!Julian McMahon of â€˜Nip/Tuckâ€™ was the host of the event which was attended by the likes of Rihanna, Avril Lavigne and Ciara. Rihanna was nominated and was also slated as a performer at the show. She looked gorgeous as ever in a flashy green gown. Avril, though I never really liked her sense of style, has made some improvement with her strapless black dress and Doc Martens. Props to Ciara for working two different but equally gorgeous outfits.
