Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has hit out at fellow judge Piers Morgan and said she isn’t sure why he has a place on the panel.

Amanda, 38, is also an actress and has starred in hit British shows such as Wild At Heart and Cutting It.

She said she is more suited to her role on the panel because she has auditioned in front of a crowd like the contestants – unlike her fellow judges Piers, 44, and Simon Cowell, 49.

She said: “Obviously Simon is very qualified but I’m not sure what Piers Morgan is doing there.”

Amanda also said she would not be impressed if she was fired from the hit show, saying: “I’d have to very nicely wish the next person the best of luck.”

Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan recently talked to Susan Boyle and wants the public to know that the singer did not have a mental breakdown and was just really tired. The judge told Extra on Monday that “I spoke to Susan yesterday. I don’t think it’s a breakdown. This is somebody who is absolutely exhausted. Emotionally, physically, mentally… Susan will be fine. She’s just very tired. Susan is completely and utterly exhausted. I think she’s found this whole roller coaster ride of the last seven weeks overwhelming… and she’s gone somewhere now that she can find the peace and the quiet to get some sleep, to eat properly and get over what has been an astonishing time in her life.” Get well soon!

The singer who participated on Britain’s Got Talent, another one of Simon Cowell’s personal little star factories, ended up on second place at the show’s finale. First place got nabbed by the dance group “Diversity” and Susan Boyle said the following about getting second place: “The best people won. They’re very entertaining. Lads, I wish you all the best.” Well, no biggy, Susan Boyle will probably have the success such “manufacturing” agencies as these reality shows can offer. After all, many an American Idol contestants never made it to the finals and they turned out to be sell-outs either way… go figure.
