The first single off of Susan Boyle’s debut album is a somewhat unexpected choice. Unexpected but very awesome! The Britain’s Got Talent runner up and internet phenomenon has done a cover of the Rolling Stones classic ‘Wild Horses’. If you haven’t heard the song and think that it just doesn’t sound like it’s going to work, trust me, it does. The singer puts her own spin on the iconic song and made it all hers. I like it a lot. I can’t wait to hear what more Susan has to offer us from her new album. I wonder if she’s going to perform this on the finale of America’s Got Talent.

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has hit out at fellow judge Piers Morgan and said she isn’t sure why he has a place on the panel.

Amanda, 38, is also an actress and has starred in hit British shows such as Wild At Heart and Cutting It.

She said she is more suited to her role on the panel because she has auditioned in front of a crowd like the contestants – unlike her fellow judges Piers, 44, and Simon Cowell, 49.

She said: “Obviously Simon is very qualified but I’m not sure what Piers Morgan is doing there.”

Amanda also said she would not be impressed if she was fired from the hit show, saying: “I’d have to very nicely wish the next person the best of luck.”

Simon Cowell’s credit card was rejected when he went to pay for an upscale London dinner, according to a UK report.

The star talent show judge in the UK and US is a multi-millionaire, but he was informed his card showed insufficent funds at Cipriani restaurant.

Piers Morgan, Cowell’s co-judge on Britain’s Got Talent, reportedly was dining with Cowell and said: “It’s the greatest moment in my life.”

The embarrassing moment was put down to Cowell’s card being maxed out, possibly after a spate of spending, the report said.

Cowell and the rest of the X-Factor judges, meanwhile, were shown watching the first auditions for the return of the show in stills taken from the show’s taping.

After losing Britain’s Got Talent, Susan Boyle suffered an emotional breakdown and checked herself into The Priory rehab clinic in London last week. A lot of people are now talking about the whole ordeal and some are even suggesting that an investigation should take place to look into the treatment of the YouTube sensation during the show. Culture Secretary Andy Burnham says “I think there should be a process of discussion with the broadcaster concerned. Let’s get the facts. I don’t know enough about whether the duty of care was exercised in this case. We are living in a world where it is not just about what happens on telly on a Saturday night. There is 360 degree scrutiny, 365 days a year. We need to look after people, not just around the camera. Beth Ditto has said she wants to create a “gospel supergroup” with Britain’s Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle.

The Gossip frontwoman has admitted she wants to help the 48-year-old Scottish singer after her recent meltdown.

Beth said: “I’m reaching out to Susan. She should hook up with me and The Priests. We would be the world’s first gospel supergroup. I think it’s horrible people have been making fun of her.

“Susan just wants to love Jesus and sing – it’s cute. Only I can help her out of her meltdown.”

Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan recently talked to Susan Boyle and wants the public to know that the singer did not have a mental breakdown and was just really tired. The judge told Extra on Monday that “I spoke to Susan yesterday. I don’t think it’s a breakdown. This is somebody who is absolutely exhausted. Emotionally, physically, mentally… Susan will be fine. She’s just very tired. Susan is completely and utterly exhausted. I think she’s found this whole roller coaster ride of the last seven weeks overwhelming… and she’s gone somewhere now that she can find the peace and the quiet to get some sleep, to eat properly and get over what has been an astonishing time in her life.” Get well soon!

Piers Morgan said his heart “absolutely bleeds” for Susan Boyle after media reports she flipped out in a hotel lobby.

Susan, 47, reportedly had a foul-mouthed rant after she heard judge Piers, 44, praising another contestant on Britain’s Got Talent.

It is claimed Susan was later spoken to by police when she had another dispute with reporters.

Piers wrote on his blog: “Imagine, if you will, being anonymous for 47 years of your life, and then suddenly being propelled into genuine world superstardom. For many people, it would be a dream come true.”

He added: “All that fame and attention, and the prospect of all that money to come with it down the line. But let me tell you now, there is a downside to fame. People start criticising you, sniping at you, trying to trip you up, belittle you, harass you.”

The semi-finals are still taking place to find the final contestants to compete in the upcoming final. Susan already has a place in the final after appearing in the first semi-final and winning the public vote.

Piers added: “Then imagine, too, having all this go on when you are days away from the final of a competition that can make or break your career and your life. A competition that everyone expects you to win, a fact that in itself piles on even more pressure. This is exactly the situation that Susan Boyle now finds herself in.”

He added: “And my heart absolutely bleeds for the poor woman.”
