Britney Spears is not allowed to own a mobile phone, as her friends fear that such a device would only make problems for her.
Following the emotional collapse of the American artist suffered in 2008, she is no longer allowed to own a mobile phone, at least until the end of this year, informs Female First.
The singer is under surveillance – her businesses is controlled by her father, Jamie, among others – since 2008 and her relatives say a cell phone would only get her into trouble. In addition, the lack of a cell phone allows them better supervision, said a source from the artist’s entourage for the publication The Sun.
This measure was taken especially after Britney Spears was accused by her former bodyguard, Fernando Torres, that she sent photos to his mobile phone where she appear naked, the bodyguard threatening to use the photos in a lawsuit against her.

Britney Spears has never been known to be the best when it comes to being a singer but it’s easy to forget that while the pop star’s range is limited compared to others, she actually has a lovely voice. If you don’t believe me, just listen to the just-released auto-tune free version of her debut single from “Femme Fatale”, “Hold it Against Me”. It’s amazing how different the vocals are without any backup singers or processing. I know that the material on her album was supposed to sound overly distorted for style purposes but I really want to have her do an album that shows off her voice and is clean of any excess production.

It looks like the singer has also adopted the habit of performing lap dances for lucky fans at concerts… but unlike Rihanna, it seems that Britney Spears likes doing her male fans the favor. The singer recently put on such a show during her performance on Monday when a lucky fan of hers got to have a complimentary lap dance from Britney Spears herself for his most likely overpriced concert ticket. It seems that this might just turn into a thing before long… and it probably can’t hurt the concert sales, especially since this is actually the second time Britney Spears has done this during her current tour.

Britney Spears’ new “Till the World Ends” remix featuring her tour mate Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha recently went viral. The singer took to her Twitter to express her excitement over the remix, saying “Too much fierceness for one cover! Thanks for lending your voices, girls.” Fellow pop star Ke$ha replied to Britney’s tweet by cleverly using the song’s lyrics, saying “You know that I can take it to the next level baby!” Rapper Nicki also replied, saying “You know I got you girlz!!!! DJ, what you waitin’ for???!?!” It’s a hot remix. Both Ke$ha and Nicki really took it to a whole other level.

Enrique Iglesias drops out

It seems that the rumors about Enrique Iglesias touring together with Britney Spears were true… however, they have soon found their demise as Enrique Iglesias has dropped out of the tour just a few hours after it was announced. It seems the singer is not on board with the absurd prices that Britney Spears is charging for tickets to her tour and he probably believes he can find a more productive use of his time on his own. Now Britney Spears seems to be in the rather difficult situation of having to find an opening act that will justify the high price of the tickets. Or maybe lower the prices, but that’s probably not an option at this point. So it looks like Enrique Iglesias has put Britney Spears in what could very easily be called a check position… it could even be a checkmate from some more pessimistic points of view.

“Up N Down” is one of four bonus tracks from Britney Spears’ new album “Femme Fatale”, which is due out on March 29. The four bonus tracks will only appear on the deluxe edition of the album. The 29-year old pop singer recently spoke with Rolling Stone about the direction of the album, saying “I wanted to make a fresh-sounding album for the clubs or something that you play in your car when you’re going out at night that gets you excited. I also wanted to experiment with all the different types of music I love, which is why you hear a mixture of pop, hip-hop and dance throughout the album. I also really wanted to play with my voice and change up my sound here and there which was really fun.”

Black Eyed Peas front man and hit making producer will.i.am recently posted a 30-second snippet of a brand new Britney Spears song called “The Big Fat Bass”. The latest revealed track from the pop singer’s “Femme Fatale” album, which is due out on March 29th, features piano melodies, cool synths and fist-pumping elements to go along with Britney’s sexy vocals. I like it. it’s not like your typical Britney song but it’s definitely something good. I’m liking the songs that she’s got coming for us. I’m thinking she has several hits up her sleeves with this upcoming album. What do you think?

Britney Spears recently announced that she will be performing live on Good Morning America to promote her new album on March 29 from San Francisco. The 29-year old pop singer’s album “Femme Fatale” will be released the day of the performance. In a video message, Britney said “Good morning, America. I’m excited to tell you on Tuesday morning, March 29, I’ll be performing for the first time ever in a special concert in San Francisco’s historic Castro district on Good Morning America. And I promise you it’ll be a morning to remember. See you soon!” Will you be tuning in?
