Sir Elton John has offered a helping hand to Lily Allen.
The ‘Smile’ singer, who was carried out of the Glamour Women of the Year Awards earlier this week, has been offered a lifeline as Elton’s partner David Furnish told her she could stay with the couple for a few weeks.
Lily and David met at a Royal Academy of Arts VIP private view on Wednesday night when he insisted she spend some time with him and the ‘Rocket Man’ singer – who has previously battled alcohol and drugs addiction - at their £6million Berkshire mansion in Southeast England.
David believes Lily would benefit toning down her partying lifestyle and staying out of the public eye for a while. Lily was determined to prove she could behave herself and decided to drive to the Royal Academy of Arts party.
She was reportedly overheard telling presenter Janet Street Porter: “I don’t remember a thing. I can normally get really drunk, but not like that. The worrying thing was that I was like a dead weight. I have been out so many times and got drunk and never ended up like that. I didn’t have my house keys or my bag, so I felt totally vulnerable. When I finally got home I just passed out.”
This isn’t the first time Elton has offered to help a struggling celebrity. In 1997, he ‘kidnapped’ Robbie Williams and put him in rehab to be treated for his drug addiction. He has also previously offered troubled stars Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse the use of his mansion.
Here’s another chapter in the war saga of Elton John and Madonna. Sir Elton was reportedly livid that Madonna decided to throw a last minute Oscar party. With Vanity Fair canceling their annual soiree, usually the most attended, Elton’s party was poised to be the party of the Academy Awards this year. However, Madonna decided to throw a party which was attended by A-list stars like Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes, Cameron Diaz, Demi & Ashton, Drew Barrymore, Owen Wilson and Penelope Cruz. Sir Elton’s attendees were B and C-list like JC Chasez, Lionel Richie, Simon Cowell, Larry King and Sean Penn.
Elton John has become an unwitting participant in a British child-pornorgraphy investigation. An art photograph owned by the Rocket Man that features two naked young girl was seized Thursday from a British art gallery. This is a great way Elton has found to get into controversies, few months ago he was in danger of getting embroiled in another painting controversy when another painting he had bought from a French friend also probably (I am not sure of the year of purchase) which was thought to be a fake and the case was getting dragged way long and Elton’s name was under the scanner constantly. I think he needs to stay away from purchasing paintings for a while or else a few more controversies could lead to his down fall and his name could be in the list of people that are running a nude young girls art photograph racket.
