The Game is a Liar

vida-guerra The Game is a Liar

Females already have it in for the players but there’s something more that could push them over the edge. And that’s if the player also happens to be a liar. In the case of rapper The Game, he now has someone else to fear other than a judge – Vida Guerra.

Vida is the FHM model that the rapper has claimed to have hooked up with. However, when paparazzi caught up to the curvaceous hottie and asked about The Game, she became furious and wanted the teardrop-tatted rapper to come clean about his dirty claims. Maybe she can sue The Game for libel if he doesn’t do as she says.

Robyn Does Snoop Dogg

Robyn Does Snoop Dogg

Who knew that a Swedish dance pop sensation can take a hip hop song, make it a duet and actually get it to sound amazing? Robyn has put her magic on Snoop Dogg’s new single ‘Sexual Eruption’ into a duet and completely made the song her own. Her rework of the song is definitely something different and special. There aren’t any words to express just how amazing her job on it was. The original song was already hot but Robyn just brought it to a whole other level. Robyn may just be the most exciting force in pop music right now.

Foxy Wants Out

Foxy Brown wants out of jail

Foxy Brown wants out of jail and she’s getting creative. No, she’s not planning to do a prison break. The rapper actually asked a judge to let her out of her year-long prison stay early because her hearing aid is malfunctioning and she needs to get it fixed. And it’s not going to be fixed by just any doctor. She needs to go to Hollywood to get it repaired by an expert there! A lawyer for Foxy told the judge that there may be one or two places in New York that can do cochlear implant adjustments but that the rapper needs to go to Hollywood if she wants to properly repair her “progressively deteriorating hearing loss.”

Pitbull Gets Arrested

Pitbull Gets Arrested

Latin rapper Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Perez, was arrested in Miami, Florida early Friday morning and it sounds like he had some odd dance moves for the cops.

According to the police report, Perez was stopped after flying past a marked cop car when he was doing 93 mph in a 55 zone. At first, the rapper wouldn’t get out of his car. When he finally did, the officer wrote that he “could detect a strong breath odor of alcohol over the gum he was chewing” and that his speech was rapid and slurred. And the sobriety tests? He couldn’t do the finger-to-nose touch, he was swaying, and basically mangled the ‘walk and turn’ portion of the test, losing his balance, stepping off line and starting without being told to do so.

R. Kelly Tour Will Go On Without Ne-Yo

Ne-Yo

Well, it was a great two-show deal.

According to his rep, Ne-Yo will no longer be a part of the R. Kelly tour. Ne-Yo states, “I am disappointed that I won’t be able to perform for my fans. I love being onstage because of the immediate feedback you get. You know right away if they are feeling you – and they were really feeling our show.”

Word was given to Ne-Yo’s posse on Monday that he would be let go from the remainder of the tour. Apparently, the two could not reach an agreement on a contract. Kelly’s spokesperson told MTV News, “This was a contractual issue between Ne-Yo and the promoter, not Kelly’s decision at all.” Ne-Yo believed, as of Sunday, that all issues had been resolved.

Not to worry, though. Ne-Yo’s got plenty of other activities to keep him busy. The Vegas singer/songwriter performed with Rihanna on Sunday at the American Music Awards. He announced the masquarade ball that his Compound Foundation would be hosting, and he appeared on World Children’s Day for the Ronald McDonald House. He even appeared in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Ne-Yo isn’t the first performer to be dropped early from an R. Kelly tour. In 2004, Kelly’s tour with Jay-Z ended early. Apparently when you sign to tour with Kelly, you do so at your own risk.

Ciara Turns 22

Ciara Turns 22 party

After posing naked with rapper 50 Cent on the booklet for his latest album, rumors violently went around that R&B singer Ciara was dating the rap big wig. And to get the ball of rumors rolling, 50 Cent did something very special for Ciara’s birthday.

The songstress reportedly got a special delivery from her rumored rapper boyfriend while she was in Monaco for the World Music Awards. A private jet which was full of rose petals, teddy bears, candles and chocolates was the said present. He also promised to give the singer, who just turned 22, 22 parties around the world.

Whoa! Even Paris Hilton isn’t that over the top.

The 2007 World Music Awards which was held at the Monte Carlo Sporting Club in Monte Carlo, Monaco on Sunday was truly a star-studded event. Even the Prince of Monaco was there!Julian McMahon of ‘Nip/Tuck’ was the host of the event which was attended by the likes of Rihanna, Avril Lavigne and Ciara. Rihanna was nominated and was also slated as a performer at the show. She looked gorgeous as ever in a flashy green gown. Avril, though I never really liked her sense of style, has made some improvement with her strapless black dress and Doc Martens. Props to Ciara for working two different but equally gorgeous outfits.

Salt ‘N’ Pepa Rapper Quit Duo To Fight Bulimia

Rapper Cheryl James quit Salt ‘N’ Pepa in 2001 to recover from depression and bulimia. James, better known as Salt, walked out on the girl group to get away from the “endless” pressure she felt being in the spotlight. Now 41, she says, “I had to get rid of the chaos in my life, which I attributed to being in the group… The pressure to be beautiful and management telling me, ‘You’re gaining weight.’ It was endless.” This should be an eye opener to all those aspiring to be singers and musicians, the ‘endless’ pressure to look slim as the world’s slimmest mobile instrument can be ridiculous at times. Man like want do the people want the female singers to be like –some 15 mm wide body with gadgets like looks and sumptuous curves, 2 mega pixel camera and even more features. They are humans and not mobile phone for heavens sake; they feel hungry and have some tastes.

50 Cent cancels 3 European performances

50-cent-photo.jpg
50 Cent, who is in a much-hyped battle of album sales with Kanye West, has canceled several performances in Europe. MTV News said the 31-year-old rapper canceled performances at the MOBO Awards and the Vodafone Live Music Awards, both in London on Wednesday, and a performance for MTV in Germany on Friday.

No details were posted on the rapper’s Web site, and Polydor Records, 50 Cent’s record label in Britain, wasn’t immediately available for comment Monday.

MTV said the rapper canceled the appearances due to changes in his schedule.

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, had said he’ll retire as a solo artist if West’s new album, “Graduation,” outsells his latest CD, “Curtis,” in first-week sales.

West, 29, beat 50 Cent to the No. 1 spot on Britain’s album chart Sunday, with 50 Cent in the No. 2 spot, the Official UK Charts Company said on its Web site. No sales figures were posted. U.S. sales figures will be available this week.

Kanye West Throws Another Tantrum After Losing At MTV Awards

kanye-west-mtv.jpg

Kanye West says he’ll never return to MTV. The 29-year-old rapper, who was shut out at the Video Music Awards on Sunday night, threw a tantrum in front of media and crew backstage as the MTV show was ending. Can’t he simply be gracious enough to accept the truth that there is someone who has performed better than he has and the recognition deserves to be given to that person? He puts his foot in his mouth often, but playing the race card? Not kool……”That’s two years in a row, man … give a black man a chance,” can’t believe he said that. Instead of throwing the race card and a tantrum he should have thrown his a$$ of the hotel balcony. Does he really expect to just be handed an award just becuz he missed out two yrs in a row? He really has an ego. I thought being nominated for an award was recognition in itself, but today winning matters the most and they want to win by hook or crock.

Houston rapper perfects art of self-promotion

Drive around Houston or Dallas and you’re bound to see the strategically placed billboard: “They Can’t Deport Us All,” it says, over a caricature of a man jumping a fence.

A political statement, to be sure, but also the title of the new album by Houston rapper Chingo Bling (real name Jose Herrera III). Regardless, the message has become fodder for conservative talk shows — whose debate has helped put Chingo Bling, who raps in English to Latin audiences, in the mainstream spotlight like never before.

chingo-bling-2.jpg

“They Can’t Deport Us All,” released August 14, debuted at No. 11 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart and at No. 4 on the Heatseekers chart, selling 6,000 units in its opening week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The numbers aren’t monumental — but consider that Chingo Bling is mostly a local, underground phenomenon who has always produced, promoted and released his albums independently.

Although his past solo effort, 2004’s “Tamale Kingpin,” sold 17,000 copies, according to SoundScan, “They Can’t” marks his first appearance on the Billboard charts.

As tempting as it may be to attribute this showing to the controversy, there are a number of other factors behind it.

For years, Chingo Bling has been releasing mixtapes out of the back of his truck, touting himself with infinite self-confidence, in keeping with his 10-gallon hat and ostrich boots.

From his Big Chile Enterprises offices in Houston, he presides over his own record label and a distribution company that sells his music and other indie releases along with a slew of merchandise, from bobblehead dolls to T-shirts and chili sauce. His major outlets are the Internet, swap meets and mom-and-pop stores that for years he has served personally.

“We like to call it the underground,” Chingo Bling says. “And the underground is very, very big.”

Chingo Bling’s core circuit is Texas, but nationally he does what he calls “the Taco circuit,” playing wherever there are Mexicans.

Rapper Courts Paris—and a Cast of Dozens

On Tuesday, Jerome Almon subpoenaed dozens of notables—from Paris to Oprah, from Mick Jagger to Snoop Dogg—as part of an ongoing lawsuit alleging racial profiling at the Canadian border. Is everyone ok that this pic has everyone giving people the finger???? Why that is such pictures are flashed openly on internet websites so everyone and even young kids can see and then imitate these actions because soon they will think its fun and cool to flash the index finger. It is saying that they have no couth. I am sad to see this.

almonjeromemurdercap.jpg

Anyone who has young children who look at this picture ought to be angry as well. If any of us posted or wrote the words associated with this pic we would be removed from the site. I guess it’s another case of “Do what I say not what I do!” Can’t have better people in music write lyrics that we’d like to dance on with our kids and celebrate a few good moments. Why is that we get more and more music that we have to hide from our kids and always be worried about the content those they can easily find on the net?

Steve-O Raps

blog4-steve-o.jpg

People have been missing Steve-O, or at the very least, the otherwise normal Steve-O. The MTV reality star is apparently going through some rough times and scaring his friends and family.

On his official blog, he wrote that people have been worrying about him over the past few weeks because of some of the things he’s done. He says there’s nothing he can do to change it now especially since he’s priority is set on his rap album.

Apparently, people have been criticizing him for making the album in the first place and why it has to be top priority. He’s been working with the producers of G-Unit and has been told of how good he is at work. Jealousy perhaps or just sheer madness?

Twista Responds To Anti-Rap Billboards

Posted in Music Artists, Music News, Music Video, Rap Music by Amanda @ Jul 6, 2007

twista-20.jpg

Rapper Twista has hit out at church leaders who have branded hip-hop music “trash” and degrading to women. Chicago-based church The Faith Community of Saint Sabina has attacked ten of the most popular rap artists in the U.S. – including 50 Cent & Snoop Dogg in a new advertising campaign. The group has put up twenty billboards throughout Chicago urging people to “stop listening to trash” – but Twista insists rap artists are being unfairly blamed for violence. You are not being unfairly blamed for violence. You promote violence, which results in black on Black crime. Get a clue man. Kids are vulnerable. Not only is rap to blame for violence but also the raunchy television shows. These produce music videos as if they were promoting adult shows and not their own so called ‘creativity’ on air.
